A cable connector is provided having a backshell defining an interior chamber, wherein the backshell has a cable-guide-through-opening, through which a cable can be guided into the interior chamber; and the cable connector has a strain-relief member for providing a strain-relief to the cable. In order to make an inexpensive and easy to assemble cable connector, that allows multiple sizes of cables or a bundle of cables to enter the backshell by providing sufficient clamping force such that the cable or cables is/are not easily removed, the backshell has at least a first recess extending to the interior chamber; the strain-relief member is adapted to be fixed to an exterior of the cable, and the strain-relief member protrudes from the interior chamber into the first recess for providing the strain-relief to the cable.

Magnetic Latching Connector

A magnetic latching connector for making electrical connections between cables, electrical power and signal sources, equipment and the like in a variety of medical and other applications in which it is desired to have the connection maintained with a predetermined amount of magnetic attractive force. The magnetic latching connector generally includes male and female connector components. The male and female connector components comprise male and female couplings and male and female coupling housings. The male and female coupling housings enclose electrical connections between the male and female couplings and electrical cables. Recessed within the male and female couplings are electrically conductive pins and sockets and male and female magnetic latching elements. When the male and female connector components are coupled, the pins and sockets provide electrical connections and the recessed magnetic latching elements provide a predetermined magnetic attraction force to maintain the connections.

Shielded telecommunications connector

A telecommunications connector includes a connector body and a shield attached to the connector body, the shield including a main body portion configured for attachment to the connector body and a barrel portion for crimping against a cable to be terminated to the connector. The barrel portion of the shield includes a corrugated side wall made up of a series of bends extending along a direction from the rear end of the barrel toward the front end of the barrel along at least a portion of a length of the barrel, wherein the bends defining the corrugated side wall are provided on the shield at a pre-crimped stage.

Device for the sealed passing-through of an elongate part

A device for the sealed closing of an opening for one or more elongate parts to pass through includes a sealing and/or clamping element with at least two interacting first and second parts that are axially displaceable relative to one another, and a pressure contour acting axially onto the sealing and/or clamping element. A first axial displacement of the pressure contour and an axial displacement of the at least one second part relative to the at least one first part causes a first change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction. Also, a further axial displacement of the pressure contour causes a further change in geometry of the at least one first part transversely to the displacement direction such that the opening is sealed around the one or more elongate parts passing therethrough.

Connector with improved vibration resilience

The present invention is provided with: a terminal metal fitting to which a core wire exposed portion of a core wire of a terminal of a wire is physically and electrically connected; a housing inside which the terminal metal fitting and the terminal of the wire are housed and from which the wire is drawn outside from inside; and a wire holding member that holds, inside the housing, the terminal of the wire, in which the wire holding member has a fixed portion that is fixed to a fixing portion inside the housing, and a holding portion that holds the terminal of the wire so that the terminal of the wire does not move relatively to the housing when the fixed portion is fixed to the fixing portion.

Modular communications plug

A modular communications plug is disclosed having a simplified design that allows for more efficient termination of a cable into the plug. The plug includes modular components that are applicable to different applications.
