Embodiments herein enable fast and easy interconnectivity among multimedia accessories including mobile devices and other devices. There is only limited space on mobile devices yet there are numerous input connectors. The standard TRRS audio jack is one such input that has and remains common, primarily because it is the accepted standard for audio input; namely, headphones and earpieces for listening purposes. Embodiments herein describe an intelligent switch to that audio jack that permits for additional backward and forward compatibility. It transparently allows a user to insert analog or digital audio devices, such as earphones, without the need to manually reconfigure device settings. The device herein automatically converts between input connector types using the same input convention present on their existing mobile devices. Other embodiments are disclosed.

SEALS FOR LEAD PASSAGEWAYS OF IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES
20220362559 · 2022-11-17 ·

Seals used within lead passageways of implantable medical devices for creating a seal to implantable medical leads inserted into the lead passageways include a body defining a lead passageway with an axial dimension. The body further defines a first circumferential protrusion extending radially a first distance into the lead passageway, and the body further defines a second circumferential protrusion separated from the first circumferential protrusion along the axial dimension. The second circumferential protrusion extends radially a second distance into the lead passageway, the second distance being less than the first distance. The body further defines a first circumferential depression immediately adjacent the first circumferential protrusion and between the first circumferential protrusion and the second circumferential protrusion.

Multi-conductor rotary connector

An electrical connector comprising a plug arranged and designed to connect to a receptacle. The plug includes an electrically-insulating body, a conductor ring, and a conductive member connected to the plug conductor ring. The receptacle includes an electrically-insulating body, a conductor ring having an axial inner bore and an annular groove facing radially inward, a conductive member connected to the receptacle conductor ring, and an electrically-conductive contact having a generally annular profile, at least a portion of the electrically-conductive contact received in and contacting the annular groove and at least a portion of the electrically-conductive contact not received in the annular groove. Upon insertion of the plug into the receptacle and substantially radially aligning the plug and receptacle conductor rings, the electrically-conductive contact is elastically deformed and provides electrical contact between the plug conductor ring and the receptacle conductor ring.
