ETHERNET CABLE CONNECTOR
20170346200 · 2017-11-30 ·

An Ethernet cable assembly including a cable with nine elongated conductors, a first connector and a second connector located on opposing ends of the cable, and a coupler for electrically coupling with one or both of the connectors. The connectors may each include nine pin receptacles electrically coupled with one of the elongated conductors. The nine receptacles may be arranged with one center receptacle surrounded by eight outer receptacles, symmetrically arranged about a line of symmetry passing through the center receptacle, such that when identical first or second connectors of another cable faces one of the first and second connectors, complementary crossover pairs of the receptacles match up with positive receptacles matching positive receptacles and negative receptacles matching negative receptacles. To couple these identical Ethernet connectors with each other, the coupler may have pins simply passing from one side of the coupler housing to another, without any crossover hardware required therein.

CIRCULAR POWER CONNECTORS

A circular power connector that can accommodate plugs of varying diameters includes a plurality of electrical terminals that include a contact beam extending from and monolithic with base, where the contact beam includes a contact portion, and a mounting portion that extends from and monolithic with a base for mounting the terminal to a substrate. The terminals are cylindrically arranged to receive a plug. Alternatively, each electrical terminal includes a frame portion, a first contact beam extending from the frame in a first direction, and a second contact beam extending from the frame in a second direction. Multiple electrical terminals are oriented so that the first and second contact beams for one terminal extend at an angle, preferably perpendicular, to the first and second contact beams of another electrical terminal, in a still further embodiment, an electrical terminal having two halves is provided.

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a power leg, a ground leg, a power contact and a ground contact. The insulating housing has a peripheral wall. At least two perforations are defined on the peripheral wall. At least two leg recesses are formed on the peripheral wall. The perforations and the leg recesses are staggered along the peripheral wall. The power leg and the ground leg are both received in the peripheral wall of the insulating housing and are both have leg portions being exposed from the leg recesses. The power contact and the ground contact are both located in the perforations. As described above, manufacture material of the electrical connector is saved.

Preformed Solder-in-Pin System
20220368095 · 2022-11-17 ·

A method for inserting preformed solder members into connector pins for use with electrical connectors. The method generally includes a connector pin having an open cavity at one end, into which a preformed solder member can be first inserted and then pressed, rather than melted, in place, such that voids and air spaces within the cavity are substantially eliminated. The method allows for inserting solder members in high quantities, where the preformed solder members are placed in a fixture and the fixture is placed on a shaker table, so that solder members can be inserted into large numbers of connector pins that are pre-installed in connector grommets, largely simultaneously.

ELECTRICAL COUPLING

A dry mateable subsea electrical connector coupling, having a removable connector body adapted to couple a first connector part, terminated to a subsea cable or jumper, to a subsea sensor device, or to a subsea wet mateable connector part. The removable connector body is adapted to seal a chamber of the first connector part terminated to the subsea hose or jumper and to receive electrical conductors of the subsea sensor device or subsea wet mateable connector part. The removable connector body includes electrical conductors and fittings adapted to receive corresponding electrical conductors and fittings from the hose or jumper.

A connector, including a plug terminal of a plug connected to a first electric signal line and inserted in a terminal hole of a plug body, a socket terminal of a socket connected to a second electric signal line and inserted in a terminal hole of a socket body, a plug holder of the plug, and a socket holder of the socket, where the plug holder and the socket holder are connected to each other, where the plug terminal is press fitted in and electrically connected to the socket terminal, where a position in an axial center direction is controlled by sandwiching one end portion of at least one of the plug terminal and the socket terminal between the body and a terminal holder made of an insulating material.

Electrical connector assembly

An electrical connector assembly includes a first connector, and a second connector docked with the first connector. The first connector includes a first insulating housing, a plurality of first signal terminals disposed in the first insulating housing, and a plurality of first power terminals disposed in the first insulating housing. Extension directions of the plurality of the first power terminals are multiple directions. The second connector includes a second insulating housing, a plurality of second signal terminals disposed in the second insulating housing, and a plurality of second power terminals disposed in the second insulating housing. Extension directions of the plurality of the second power terminals are multiple directions. The plurality of the first signal terminals are corresponding to the plurality of the second signal terminals. The plurality of the second power terminals correspondingly contact with the plurality of the first power terminals.

Mining cable coupler connectors and related assemblies and methods

A connector assembly for use with a mining cable coupler includes a first connector and a second connector.
