POWER OUTLET
20230146211 · 2023-05-11 ·

A power outlet, and associated method, for an electrical power supply strip. The power outlet includes a housing, an electrical connection for receiving first electrical power type, electrical components to change the first electrical power type to a second electrical power type, and a connection interface to supplying the second electrical power type. The power outlet housing has a body with a shape that corresponds to a shaped aperture of a main housing of the strip. A front portion of the power outlet housing is larger than the shaped aperture. An elastically deformable arm extends from the body and deforms as the arm passes through the shaped aperture of the main housing. An engagement portion of the arm retains the power outlet housing relative to the main housing.

Configurable electrical receptacles

This invention relates to configurable electrical receptacles and more particularly to electrical receptacles that accept in-situ replacement of an insert providing a specific functionality within an electrical receptacle which is configurable to function or user accessible feature.

Powered wall plate with keyed interface

A powered wall plate may include a face plate comprising an opening extending through the face plate from the first surface to the rear surface. A first keyed interface may be formed at the rear surface of the face plate. An electrical receptacle may comprise a second keyed interface configured to be coupled with the first keyed interface, the electrical receptacle further comprising terminals disposed on sides of the electrical receptacle. Spring-biased terminals may be coupled to the face plate and coupled with the terminals. A powered feature may be coupled to the face plate and configured to be electrically coupled to the electrical receptacle through the spring-biased terminals when the first keyed interface and the second keyed interface are mateably coupled. Power may not be supplied from the electrical receptacle to the powered feature when the first keyed interface is not mateably coupled with the second keyed interface.

CIRCUIT PROTECTION FOR HYBRID ANTENNA DISTRIBUTION UNITS

Some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a hybrid distribution unit that can distribute both power and data connections from a power and fiber cables (or from a hybrid cable containing both power and fiber) within a compact enclosure that helps reduce the overall footprint of the hybrid distribution unit mounted on a cellular tower. Some embodiments may also include circuit protection features, such as fuses or circuit breakers. Other embodiments may be described or claimed.

WATER RESISTANT POP-UP OUTLET

A pop-up outlet includes a lower housing configured to receive one or more conductors. A middle housing is connected to the lower housing. An upper housing is moveably connected to the middle housing. An outlet is positioned in the upper housing having an outlet body and at least one receptacle opening. A raise/lower mechanism is configured to move the upper housing with respect to the middle housing from a first position where the outlet body is positioned in the middle housing to a second position where the outlet body is exposed to a user.

COAXIAL CABLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A coaxial cable includes a coaxial wire in which an inner insulator, an outer conductor and a sheath are sequentially and coaxially provided around a center conductor, and a substrate having a surface on which a first contact pad and a second contact pad are arranged. The sheath is removed at one end portion of the coaxial wire by a predetermined length, so that the inner insulator and the outer conductor are exposed, and a tip end of the inner insulator is removed by a predetermined length, so that the center conductor is exposed. The exposed portion of the center conductor is soldered to the first contact pad with the exposed portion of the inner insulator being bent relative to the sheath, and the exposed portion of the outer conductor is soldered to the second contact pad with being bent in a direction different from the bending direction of the inner insulator. A part of the coaxial wire covered by the sheath is standing at an angle of 30° or greater relative to the surface of the substrate.

Electrical Outlet with Covering and Light and Method of Use for the Same

An outlet and nightlight device with a solid base. The base has a front, back, top and two outlets on the front the base. There are two plugs on the back of the base, a light sensor, and a light emitter. The front of the base is attached to a raised section which is attached and in moveable communication with a face plate. In some embodiments the face plate slides across the raised section and in others it can rotate away from the raised section via a hinge on the base plate. The light sensor can trigger to the light emitter to emit light in low light conditions and in some embodiments there is a manual trigger for the light emission. In some embodiments the base has USB port for utilization. In some embodiments the face plate can lock to the base plate. In some embodiments the present invention has ancillary light emitters on the raised plate. In some embodiments of the invention there is a battery back up to supply energy to the light emitter in case of power failure.

Contraband detection through smart power components

A method and system for contraband detection is provided that allows for the determining whether devices are authorized to receive power from an outlet. A power adapter and/or an outlet authenticate a device when it is connected to the outlet through the power adapter. On the basis of this authentication, a determination is made whether the devices are to receive power from the outlet. If the device is authorized, the outlet is activated, transitioning from inactive state (where no power is relayed through the outlet) to an active state (where power is relayed through the outlet).

Telecommunications panel with patching device installation features

A telecommunications panel has various features for removably mounting patching devices to the panel. The telecommunications panel includes mounting flanges and ramp elements for facilitating mounting and removal of patching devices. The ramp element is associated with a receptacle opening of the panel and configured to contact a flexible latch of the patching device and depress the flexible latch as the patching device is received in the receptacle opening.

Electrical devices with longitudinal electrical conductor entries

An electrical wiring device has a longitudinal axis extending between a top surface and a bottom surface. The electrical wiring device includes at least one line phase wiring terminal, at least one neutral wiring terminal, at least one line phase electrical conductor entry extending along the longitudinal axis of the electrical wiring device and extending between the line phase wiring terminal and the top surface or the bottom surface of the electrical wiring device and at least one neutral electrical conductor entry extending along the longitudinal axis of the electrical wiring device and extending between the neutral wiring terminal and the top surface or the bottom surface of the electrical wiring device.
