Plug retaining cradle including a sabot
A charger guard apparatus is described. The guard is equipped with a sabot, wall plate, and retaining cradle which, when assembled around a mobile device charger or any AC-powered male plug, is configured to prevent unwanted movement, damage, or loss to the charger or similar AC-powered device. The sabot is preferably composed of a top half and a bottom half which are configured to lock together around a male AC plug, including any AC/DC adapter or similar plug protrusion. The sabot is also configured to encapsulate any and all cable extending from an AC/DC adapter disposed within the sabot. The retaining cradle is configured to lock to the wall plate via retaining clips which are designed to mate with clip sockets of the wall plate.

The control module may comprise a plurality of contact elements including a first contact element adapted to receive a line voltage and a second contact element adapted to receive a reference voltage; a switch coupled to receive the line voltage; a third contact element coupled to the switch and adapted to provide the line voltage to a power adapter; and a control circuit coupled to the switch and adapted to control the state of the switch; and a fourth contact element coupled to the control circuit; wherein the control circuit generates a signal adapted to be routed to the power adapter by way of the fourth contact element
Battery assembly for a hand holdable light
A hand holdable light comprises: a light body having a forward portion, a rearward portion, and a central portion between the forward portion and to the rearward portion; a light source proximate a forward end; and a switch for energizing the light source. The rearward portion has a non-circular cross-section; the switch is on the forward portion; and the central portion has a recess opposite the switch. The light is holdable by a hand with a finger or thumb proximate the recess and the other of a finger or thumb proximate the switch. A battery assembly comprises: a battery housing for receiving and connecting a battery; an electrical switch on a first end of the battery housing; and a pattern of electrical contacts on a second end of the battery housing, wherein ones of the electrical contacts are connected to the battery.

A hand holdable light comprises: a light body having a forward portion, a rearward portion, and a central portion between the forward portion and to the rearward portion; a light source proximate a forward end; and a switch for energizing the light source. The rearward portion has a non-circular cross-section; the switch is on the forward portion; and the central portion has a recess opposite the switch. The light is holdable by a hand with a finger or thumb proximate the recess and the other of a finger or thumb proximate the switch. The housing includes a rearward base region that is embodied from an electrically non-conductive material for the purpose of engaging in a bulb socket. The base region is embodied for the purpose of arranging electrical contact elements of different base types.

The power adapter may comprise a first plurality of contact elements accessible on an outer surface of the power adapter, the first plurality of contact elements comprising a first contact element configured to receive power; and a recess comprising a second plurality of contact elements and adapted to receive a control attachment; wherein a second contact element of the second plurality of contact elements is configured to receive power by way of the first contact element of the first plurality of contact elements, and a third contact element of the second plurality of contact elements is configured to receive power by way of the control attachment.

The power adapter may comprise a first plurality of contact elements accessible on an outer surface of the power adapter, the first plurality of contact elements comprising a first contact element configured to receive power; and a recess comprising a second plurality of contact elements and adapted to receive a control attachment; wherein a second contact element of the second plurality of contact elements is configured to receive power by way of the first contact element of the first plurality of contact elements, and a third contact element of the second plurality of contact elements is configured to receive power by way of the control attachment.

A method of mounting an electrically powered device having power receiving contacts and a ground contact on a display comprising a mounting wall comprising: mounting one or more power delivery members on the rear surface of the mounting wall; housing the power receiving and ground contact of an electrically powered device in a housing that prevents electrically conductive manual engagement or contact, inserting the housed power receiving and ground contacts of the electrically powered device through one of the series of apertures in the mounting wall to power and mount the device.
