The connecting device also includes an oscillation damping device having a spring element. The oscillation damping device is operable to dampen oscillations of the magnetic system that act on the connecting device by way of the holding element, with respect to the connecting element.

The moveable protection plate is configured to protect the at least one pin before the connector structure is connected with a receptacle, and the moveable protection plate is configured to be moved within the housing to allow the at least one pin to be exposed when the connector structure is mated with the receptacle.
