System and apparatus for electrically coupling to a cable on a rotatable reel using optical communication devices
A cable reel can improve transfer of power and data between a static frame and a cable wound around a rotatable element. The cable reel can use torsional springs to store mechanical energy and also to electrically couple the cable to a node within the static frame. This electrical coupling can be used to pass power. The cable reel can use a data transfer apparatus to transfer data between the frame and the cable. This apparatus may comprise two capacitive plates that together form a capacitor, one connected to the frame and one connected to the rotatable element. Alternatively, this apparatus may comprise an optically isolated zone in which an optical transmitter may communicate data to an optical receiver over free-space optical communications. The data can be transferred without physical contact between the frame and rotatable element, even while the rotatable element may rotate relative to the static frame.
CABLE CONNECTION SYSTEM
A cable connection system and a method of forming the cable connection system. The cable connection system includes a base and a coupling mechanism. The base is configured to be coupled to a given cable. The given cable is configured to be connected to a given rack. The coupling mechanism is configured to couple the base with the given rack during a given connect mode of operation. The coupling mechanism includes a group of base connectors provided on a first surface of the base. The first surface is arranged to lie substantially flush with the given rack. The method includes: providing the base and coupling the coupling mechanism to the base.
Foldable watch charging adapter
A foldable watch charging adapter has a watch charging housing provided with an induction charge surface. The watch charging housing is coupled to a charge end of a charge arm. A joint rotatably couples a pivot end of the charge arm to a joint end of a connector arm; and an electrical connector is provided at a connector end of the connector arm. An angular interconnection orientation of the electrical connector may be adjusted by rotating the connector arm with respect to the charge arm about the joint. Further, a connection interface adapter may be included to increase the range of connection interfaces that may be utilized.
CABLE CONNECTION SYSTEM
A cable connection system and a method of using the cable connection system. The cable connection system includes a base and a tube enveloping electrical cabling. The cabling is electrically connected to base connectors of the base. The base is configured to be physically and electrically connected to a rack. The base is at a fixed distance from the tube and is rotated around a center axis of the tube by a first angle within an angular range encompassing from more than zero degrees to less than 360 degrees.
Device for transmitting electrical current and/or signals in a motor vehicle
A device (1) for transmitting electrical current and/or signals in a motor vehicle is proposed. The device (1) has a wind up spring cassette (2) composed of a stator (4) and a rotor (5) in which at least one line (7) extending in windings is connected with one end thereof to the stator (4) and with the other end to the rotor (5), and at least one fixing element (3) through which a predetermined relative position for the mounting of the wind up spring cassette (2) into the motor vehicle is fixed. The fixing element is a foil like label (3) which is attached to the outside of the wind up spring cassette (2) and extends from the rotor (5) to the stator (4). The label (3) is inseparably mechanically secured at the stator (4) as well as at the rotor (5).
Lock-pin assembly
A steering roll connector assembly includes a roll stator. The assembly also includes a roll rotor telescoped in and rotatably coupled to the roll stator to allow relative rotation between the roll rotor and roll stator. The assembly further includes a lock-pin operatively engaging the roll rotor, and the lock-pin is releasable from the operative engagement with the roll rotor. The assembly yet further includes an arm extending from the lock-pin and operatively engaging the roll stator when the lock-pin couples to the roll rotor to prevent relative rotation between the roll rotor and the roll stator.
