Alternative embodiments are also disclosed.
High voltage direct current connector assembly or adapter with arc protection
In one embodiment, an electrical receptacle includes a housing, stationary electrical contacts for transferring power received at the electrical receptacle to a connected device, pin contacts for mating with socket contacts on a plug to create a first connection when the plug is moved along a longitudinal axis of the housing, and internal contacts extending from the pin contacts and located within the housing for mating with the stationary electrical contacts to create a second connection with movement of the plug different from movement for the first connection. An electrical arc created between one of the internal contacts and one of the stationary electrical contacts is contained within the housing. A method and adapter are also disclosed herein.
Actuator apparatus for operating a surgical instrument
A coupler apparatus for coupling electrical signals between an actuator and an end effector is disclosed. The end effector is disposed at a distal end of an elongate articulated positioner and used to position the end effector for performing surgical operations. The articulated positioner has a central lumen and the apparatus includes an elongate body sized to be slidingly received within the central lumen of the articulated positioner, at least a portion of the body being operable to flex during movement of the articulated positioner. The apparatus also includes a plurality of electrical conductors extending through the body, and a plurality of proximal electrical contacts disposed at a proximal end of the body for removably connecting each of the electrical conductors to respective electrical signal lines at the actuator.
POWER ADAPTER
A power adapter, including a main body having a housing and pins connected to the housing, a synchronization mechanism connected to the housing, a first cover body, connected to the synchronization mechanism and moving relative to the housing to a first position and a second position, and a second cover body connected to the synchronization mechanism and driven by the synchronization mechanism during the movement of the first cover body relative to the housing to achieve the synchronous movement of the second cover body and the first cover body.

MOISTURE-RESISTANT EYE WEAR
Eyewear including an optical functional member, control electronics, and a sealed electrical connective element connecting the electronics to the optical functional member. The connective element can directly connect the electronics to the optical functional member, or can connect through an intermediate contact, e.g., a plug-and-receptacle. The connective element can be routed from the electronics, around a rimlock of the eyewear to the optical functional member. The connective element can be a conductive compressible member, such as conductive rubber. In some embodiments, the connective element can be a multiconductor cable.
