Connection system with cleaning
A connector cleaning system includes (a) one or more cleaning elements adapted to engage a connector and remove contaminants from a contact portion of the connector and (b) an image processing device adapted to capture an image of the contact portion after removal of contaminants.
Cord sleeve device and installation tool and method for use
A system for installing a cord sleeve includes a first lever arm, the first lever arm including a first protrusion approximately perpendicular to the first lever arm. The system further includes a second lever arm, the second lever arm including a second protrusion approximately perpendicular to the second lever arm. The first and second lever arm intersect at a pivot point and are pivotally attached to each other at the pivot point, such that the first protrusion and the second protrusion are parallel and adjustment to each other, the first lever arm and the second lever arm having a first position where the first protrusion and the second protrusion are together and a second position where the first protrusion and the second protrusion are separated. The system further includes the first lever arm includes a ball portion at the pivot point.
Splice assembly
A splice assembly for engaging a conductor includes a brush configured to engage the conductor. The brush includes a housing having a first portion and a second portion. The housing defines a housing axis extending between the first portion and the second portion. The first portion defines a cavity having an open end. The second portion defines a bore. A diameter of the cavity is larger than a diameter of the bore. The cavity and the bore are configured to receive the conductor therethrough. The brush further includes a brush member secured within the cavity and positioned proximate the open end.
CABLE CONNECTION INSPECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
Embodiments herein disclose a dual-purpose fiber optic and high-speed copper connection inspection apparatus and method with loosely fitting adapter housing fitted to a digital photographic camera microscope configured to observe and record connector condition common and valuable to both transmission vehicles. Thus, a technician can make informed decisions which surfaces to clean or replace to maximize signal transmission. The adapter housing is configured to connect the camera to simultaneously view, in a continuously variable longitudinal, latitudinal and circumferential axis of the connector or adapter housing, resulting in the greatest field of view representing the three-dimensional nature of the various sectors of fiber optic, hybrid fiber optic/copper, and, category copper connectors from one instrument. The rotating adapter housing may be constructed of various 3D printed materials that enable camera-to-connector manipulation and a comprehensive view of connector surfaces.
MULTI-TOOL DEVICE FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A cleaning and maintenance multi-tool for electronic devices is provided, which includes multiple tools in a single body, where the tools are capable of cleaning different components of mobile electronic devices such as smart phones, tablets, digital cameras, laptop or PC computers, or the like.
Prime Air - Embedded connector in Printed Circuit Boards
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) may include embedded lateral connectors. The embedded lateral connectors may be configured to enable components to quickly couple to or plug into a PCB, thus saving time to form connections. The embedded lateral connectors may also reduce weight and/or size by avoiding need for bulky tradition collections with conventional components (e.g., solders, external pin connectors, etc.). The connectors may include male connectors, female connectors, and/or mounting connectors. The connectors may be configured to connect multiple PCBs together, such as using a stacked configuration, which may enable reducing a volume of space needed in a housing for the PCBs.
Conductive sleeved fastener assembly
A conductive sleeved fastener assembly includes an electrically-conductive fastener having a fastener head and a fastener shank extending from the fastener head and an electrically-conductive fastener sleeve receiving the fastener shank of the fastener and a fastener sleeve flange provided on the fastener sleeve and disposed in direct contact with the fastener head of the fastener. A method of preparing a conductive sleeved fastener for use is also disclosed.
Electrical connector and method of assembling an electrical connector assembly
An electrical connector for an electrical cable having a contact element for connection to an electrical conductor of the electrical cable. The electrical connector has an integrated cleaning tool for the electrical conductor. The cleaning tool is arranged along a feed direction for the electrical cable on the cable side upstream of the contact element. It is provided that the cleaning tool is designed to remove or at least retain particles, residues of a sheathing and/or contaminants adhering to the electrical conductor before the electrical conductor contacts the contact element of the electrical connector arranged downstream in the feed direction within the scope of a connector assembly process.
Printed circuit board with embedded lateral connector
PIN REFORMING TOOL
A tool for reforming printed circuit board backplane connector pins on a rod control system. The pin reforming tool of this invention is aligned into a card cage using existing card guides and locates itself around the backplane connector. The tool uses a uniquely designed die (that can be set up for one or multiple pin applications) that precisely engages into the connector and around the pin or pins to be reformed, with the assistance of a zig zag alignment guide matched specifically for the pin spacing. A consistent reforming force is applied via a force applicator structured to provide a force of a preselected magnitude.
