Contact element and contact arrangement with front protection and method of producing the latter
The present invention relates to an electric contact element that has at least one crimping strap which is configured and arranged to reach around the outer circumference of an electric conductor, at least in sections, at least in a fully crimped state of the contact element. Furthermore, the invention relates to an electric contact arrangement that has at least one electric conductor and at least one contact element that has at least one crimping strap which is crimped, at least in sections, around an outer circumference of the conductor. Finally, the invention relates to a method of producing an electric contact arrangement, at least one crimping strap of a contact element being crimped, at least in sections, around an electric conductor. In order to seal an interior of the contact arrangement as simply and effectively as possible and with long-term stability against the penetration of corrosive media, provision is made according to the invention such that at least one front protection strap of the contact element is aligned running, at least in sections, transversely to the at least one crimping strap and rests against the latter, a front section of the electric conductor being covered, at least in sections, by the at least one front protection strap.
Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
Connection assembly, valve with connection assembly and method of connecting a wire to a crimp connector
A connection arrangement has a crimp connector and a wire fixed in place in it, the crimp connector having a first and a second clamping plate, both single pieces, which in an assembled state clamp the wire between them and fix the wire in place with a tensile strength force acting in a longitudinally axial direction. Inner surfaces of the first and second clamping plate face one another at least in the assembled state are executed in a first form in the preassembled state. The first and second clamping plate fit tightly with one another and are deformed in the assembled state with a tool into a second form differing from the first that the wire, due to the deformation of the first and second clamping plates, forms at least one wave. A related valve and a related method are also disclosed.
Underwater connecting apparatus and assemblies
A cable termination apparatus for an underwater cable with a conductive core, an axially extending annular insulation portion radially outwardly of the core and an axially extending annular conductive screen layer radially outwardly of the insulation portion. The apparatus having a stress control sleeve, located radially outwardly of the insulation portion and extending partially over the annular conductive screen layer. The stress control sleeve includes an insulating portion and a conductive portion. When the cable termination apparatus is assembled the conductive portion of the stress control sleeve is in contact with an end portion of the screen layer.

REUSABLE MAINS-POWER ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
The present invention relates to a reusable mains-power electrical connector. The connector includes a connector body for receiving cables and fasteners. One or more protectors are located within the body to protect the received cables when the fasteners engage with the protectors to fasten the cables within the body. The connector also includes relieving means for relieving the cables of the protectors when releasing the fasteners to remove the cables. Advantageously, the connector may be re-used when the fasteners engage with the protectors to fasten new cables received within the body.
