Managed connectivity in electrical systems and methods thereof
An electrical connector arrangement includes a storage device coupled to a connector housing. The storage device is configured to store physical layer information pertaining to the electrical connector arrangement. The storage device also has contacts that enable the physical layer information to be read from the storage device by a media reading interface. A connector assembly includes at least one receptacle assembly; a printed circuit board; and a media reading interface.
Male Connector, Female Connector, Connector Assembly, and Communications Device
A male connector, including a male conductive base (MCB), having at least two first through-holes, including at least two shielding sleeves fastened on the male conductive base and electrically connected to the male conductive base, where each shielding sleeve defines a front-to-back through shielding cavity connected to a corresponding first through-hole of the at least two first through-holes, and further including at least two male differential pairs, wherein each male differential pair of the at least two male differential pairs is fastened in the shielding cavity through at least one of the at least two first through-holes, and where each male differential pair is electrically insulated from the male conductive base and the shielding sleeve.
Easy Access Patch Panel
Technology allowing for easy access to connectors in a patch panel. In one of the configurations a patch panel includes at least one patch panel subassembly, each patch panel subassembly including at least one mounting plate and a plurality of port assemblies, the at least one mounting plate being configured to accommodate the port assemblies so that each port assembly can individually translate along a direction parallel to a surface of the mounting plate and can rotate about an axis perpendicular to the surface of the mounting plate.
WIRELESS ADAPTER AND HANDHELD ELECTRONIC DEVICE TO WIRELESSLY CONTROL THE WIRELESS ADAPTER
An adapter device includes a printed circuit board (PCB), an output port disposed on the PCB and having first pins, where the output port is to be connected to an output harness that is connected to an adaptive device. The adapter also includes wireless circuitry one of disposed on or coupled to the PCB and a processing device disposed on the PCB and coupled to the output port and wireless circuitry. The processing device is to: identify, via the wireless circuitry, an actuation command from a wireless signal received from a handheld electronic device; translate the actuation command to one or more actuation bits that match one of analog-converted bits receivable over an input harness or digital control bits receivable over a wireless controller associated with the adaptive device; and provide the actuation bits to the first pins, the actuation bits causing the adaptive device to perform a specific action.
Point of sale cables
Example implementations relate to point of sale cables. For example, a system may comprise a point of sale terminal coupled to a splitter via a registered jack (RJ) cable to provide electrical power to the splitter, a receipt printer coupled to receive electrical power from the splitter at a DIN connector input, and a cash drawer to receive electrical power from the splitter via an RJ connector input.
Network port connector ejection system
A network port connector ejection system includes a computing device connector that is connected to a network port connector. A retention device in the network port connector ejection system is configured to engage the network port connector to secure the network port connector to the computing device connector. A retention device release subsystem in the network port connector ejection system is coupled to the retention device and is configured to be actuated to release the retention device from engagement with the network port connector. A network port connector ejection subsystem in the network port connector ejection system is configured to engage the network port connector, while the retention device release subsystem is actuated to release the retention device from engagement with the network port connector, to disconnect the network port connector from the computing device connector.
Receptacle module and receptacle cage for a communication system
A communication system includes a plug module having a plug housing and a plug latch and a receptacle module having a receptacle housing and a receptacle latch. The receptacle module includes a receptacle connector with a card slot receiving a plug module circuit board. The receptacle connector includes cables terminated to contacts and extending from the receptacle connector. A receptacle cage includes a front cage interface receiving the plug module and a rear cage interface receiving the receptacle module. The front cage interface matches the rear cage interface including a front latching feature and a rear latching feature interfacing with the plug and receptacle latches.
Electrical plug-in connector
The invention relates to an electrical plug-in connector, in particular for the combined transmission of data and electrical power, comprising a housing, comprising a plurality of first contact areas for connection to matching contact areas of a further plug-in connector, comprising a plurality of electrically conductive conductor arrangements in the housing and comprising a plurality of connection contacts for connection to a line which leads to the plug-in connector, wherein in each case a first contact area is connected to a connection contact by means of a conductor arrangement, wherein at least one of the conductor arrangements has means for disconnecting and closing an electrically conductive connection using this conductor arrangement.
Connection apparatus, network board connection system, and communications device
A connection apparatus includes: a housing case, where the housing case includes a first side face and a second side face that are intersected and disposed adjacent to each other; a first connector, disposed on the first side face and configured to be connected to a connector of a first line card, so that the connection apparatus is orthogonally connected to the first line card; and a second connector, disposed on the second side face and connected to the first connector. The second connector is configured to be connected to a connector of a network board. The connection apparatus can improve a capacity of the communications device.
