Portable light and keyed rechargeable USB battery

A portable light may comprise: a light body having an internal cavity configured to receive a rechargeable power source, having a keying feature, and having an opening through an exterior wall in a predetermined location relative to the keying feature; and a light source. A rechargeable power source has a charging connector and a keying feature in predetermined locations that when the keying feature thereof engages the keying feature of the internal cavity, the charging connector thereof is aligned with the opening through the exterior wall of the light body. Thus an external source of charging power can be connected through the opening in the exterior wall directly to the charging connector of the rechargeable power source for recharging the rechargeable power source while it is in the portable light.

The magnetic head is configured to read/write information from/to the recording medium. The wiring member includes a plurality of first terminals, and a plurality of first wires that electrically connect the magnetic head to the first terminals. The flexible printed circuit board includes a surface, a plurality of second terminals located on the surface to be connected to the first terminals by means of a conductive adhesive, and a ground plane spaced apart from the second terminals in a direction along the surface.

Rotatable docking station with cable hold and release mechanism

A swivel mount assembly for rotational mounting of an electronic device includes an insertable part to be inserted into an opening in a structure and a lip part. A securing body secures the assembly body to a surface of the structure. A rotatable body includes another insertable part to be inserted into an opening in the insertable part of the assembly body, a plate part, side walls with at least one side aperture, at least one roller disposed in at least one opening in the plate part, a platform part disposed at an opposing end of the sidewalls to support the electronic device, and a hold/release mechanism disposed between the plate part and the platform part to hold the cable and prevent it movement when in a first setting and to release the cable and permit its movement when in a second setting.

Interconnection systems

Interconnection systems are shown that include communication contacts, and a guide. Configurations are shown with a guide that locates a male portion with respect to a female portion and guides their engagement before any communication contacts are engaged. Configurations are also shown with a guide that includes one or more power contacts.

MONITORING OF DEVICES

This application relates to monitoring of electronic devices (100) and in particular to methods and apparatus for the detection and recording of an electrical overstress applied to a connector (101, 102) of the device. The apparatus describes an integrated circuit integrated circuit (103, 105, 106a) of the host device having a first set of one or more circuit contacts (201, 203, 204, 205) for connection to a connector (101) of a host electronic device. The circuit has an electrical overstress monitor (106, 106a) for detecting and recording an electrical overstress comprising a voltage exceeding a predetermined parameter applied to at least one of said first set of circuit contacts. The electrical overstress monitor (106) may have an overvoltage detector (205) and may have a memory (206) for recording the occurrence of an overvoltage and/or a communication module (207) for communicating with other components of the host device in the event of an electrical overstress.

An electrical connector including an insulating body, a plurality of terminals disposed in the insulating body, a first metallic shell enclosing the insulating body to form an interface for being plugged by another electrical connector, and a second metallic shell is provided. The first metallic shell has a first soldering leg close to the interface, and the second metallic shell encloses the first metallic shell, wherein the first soldering leg extends away from the insulating body, penetrates the second metallic shell and protrudes out of the second metallic shell.

Electron-device protection casing using magnetic connection

An electron-device protection casing using magnetic connection includes a protection casing for receiving a tablet form electronic device; a device end connecting unit installed in the protection casing for being connected to the electronic device. The device end connecting unit further includes at least one device end magnetic unit which is positioned in the body; the device end magnetic unit serves to be magnetically connected to an external device so that the external connecting unit can be fixedly connected to the external device. The present invention further includes an intermediate connecting unit which further has at least one intermediate magnetic unit positioned for being magnetically connected to the device end magnetic unit; the positions of the device end magnetic units are corresponding to those of the intermediate magnetic units so that the device end magnetic units are attracted by the intermediate magnetic unit.

Magnetic variable-force contacts

Variable-force contacts that may provide a large and stable contact force in a mated state, may provide a large difference in contact force between the mated and an unmated state, and may reduce stray flux in an unmated state. Examples may replace physical springs with magnetic force for improved reliability. These examples may position the magnets to reduce stray flux in an unmated state.

CIRCUIT BOARD MODULE AND RELEASE COMPONENT
