Cable assembly for common mode noise mitigation

Common mode noise can exist on an outer conductor of a female F-type port of a RF-device, like a cable modem box or cable TV set-top box. The present invention utilizes a jumper wire attached to an electrically conductive connector, having a shape and size to fit around a base of the F-type female coaxial port. The jumper wire carries the common mode noise away from the outer conductor of the port. In a first embodiment, the jumper wire is connected to a ground line of a household outlet. In a second embodiment, the jumper wire dissipates the noise signal by interacting with one or more ferrites. In a third embodiment, the jumper wire carries the noise signal to a shielding layer of a coaxial cable, which may further carry the noise signal to one or more ferrites or a ground connection.

Electronic device housing that permits removal of damaged plug from jack within the housing

An electronic device includes a jack including a first opening portion through which a plug can be inserted along a first axis, and coming into contact with the plug at an electrode; and a housing formed separately from the jack. The jack includes a second opening portion facing the first opening portion along the first axis, and a through-hole connecting the first opening portion and the second opening portion along the first axis. The housing includes a third opening portion opening on a same side as the first opening portion and opening at a position where a plug can be inserted from outside the housing into the first opening portion, and a fourth opening portion facing the third opening portion along the first axis and opening at a position where the plug can be discharged to an outside of the housing through the second opening portion.

A splitter for use in an in-home network includes an input and a plurality of outputs including at least a first output and a second output. A split point is between the input and the plurality of outputs. A first resistor and a first capacitor are connected in series between the input and the split point. A second resistor and a second capacitor are connected in series between the split point and the first output. A third resistor and a third capacitor are connected in series between the split point and the second output. The input, the first output, and the second output form a resistive Wye-type splitter. A first path exists between the input and the first output. A second path exists between the input and the second output. The first path and the second path have a substantially equal series resistance, series impedance, insertion loss, and isolation.

MODULAR CIRCUIT BOARD MULTI-TAP

A multi-tap device for a cable television (CATV) system includes a tap housing and a faceplate configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a first circuit board configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a second circuit board configured to be connected to the faceplate and to the first circuit board. The device also includes an access cover connected to the tap housing. The access cover is configured to be opened to provide access to disconnect the first circuit board from the tap housing and from the second circuit board and to subsequently remove the first circuit board from the tap housing, thereby changing a tap value of the multi-tap device. The second circuit board is configured to remain connected to the faceplate and positioned within the tap housing when the first circuit board is removed from the tap housing.

CONNECTORS FOR ELECTRO-OPTIC DISPLAYS

A connector for an electro-optic display comprising: a non-conductive sheet having a top surface and a bottom surface; a first layer of conductive material applied to at least a portion of the bottom surface; a second layer of conductive material applied to a first portion of the top surface; a third layer of conductive material applied to a second portion of the top surface, the third layer of conductive material being electrically isolated from the second layer of conductive material; and a conductive via electrically connecting the first layer of conductive material and the second layer of conductive material.

A coaxial cable connector includes an outer barrel having a front end and a rear end. The connector includes an inner sleeve within the outer barrel defining a bore, the inner sleeve moving between uncompressed and compressed conditions and including a finger which is formed in the inner sleeve for resilient movement between a neutral position in which the finger is out of the bore, and a deformed position in which the finger is deformed into the bore. The finger includes a base formed to the inner sleeve and a free end. Axial movement of the inner sleeve with respect to the outer barrel from a compressed condition to an uncompressed condition imparts movement to the finger from the neutral position to the deformed position.

Wire harness

A wire harness includes at least two electrical wires, and a connection unit via which each of the at least two electrical wires are connected. The connection unit includes a circuit board connected to the at least two electrical wires, and a conductor member extending downward from the circuit board, the conductor member being electrically connected to a ground pattern on the circuit board. The connection unit is attached to a vehicle body in a state where the conductor member is in contact with a grounding conductor formed on the vehicle body when the connection unit is disposed on the vehicle body. Therefore, the circuit board can be directly connected to the ground via the conductor member only by disposing the connection unit on the vehicle body.
