INTERLOCK DEVICE OF WITHDRAWABLE ARC ELIMINATOR
The present invention relates to an interlock device of a withdrawable arc eliminator, and more particularly, to an interlock device of a withdrawable arc eliminator capable of preventing insertion or withdrawal of an arc eliminator applied to an electrical panel, in a closed state of the arc eliminator.
ARC ELIMINATOR
An arc eliminator includes a housing having a space formed therein and including an opening, an arc extinguishing part installed in the housing and including a moving rod disposed to be movable to the space, an indicator rotatably installed within the housing and seen through the opening, and an indicator rotating mechanism interworking with the moving rod when the moving rod moves, to rotate the indicator. A closing state and opening state of an arc extinguishing part may be easily recognized through an indicator and an arc accident may be minimized.
SINGLE PART FINGER CLUSTER SUBASSEMBLY
A grounding system for a rackable circuit breaker includes a finger cluster connector connected to a grounding bus in the circuit breaker and a rail conductor mounted in a circuit breaker cradle and connected to ground potential. The finger cluster connector includes a conductor formed from a single plate of conductive material folded into a generally U-shaped body with first and second sides divided into a plurality of fingers. Distal ends of the fingers form mutually facing parallel surfaces of a constricted passage configured to make a sliding electrical contact with the rail conductor that is advanced into the constricted passage as the circuit breaker is racked into the cradle. First and second leaf springs fastened to the conductor portion are divided into a plurality of spring finger sections with spring distal ends configured to respectively press against the distal ends of respective fingers of the conductor portion.
ENCLOSURE AND OPTIMIZATIONS
A connector assembly is provided for facilitating live connection of equipment in a switchgear. The assembly includes two circular plates, and conductive fingers which are arranged and spaced apart around the two plates to form a finger cluster with first open-end on a first cluster end and second open-end on an opposite second cluster end. Each open-end can receive a conductor therein. Each finger can include a first finger end and an opposite second finger end which form respective first and second cluster ends; two first interior grooves which are spaced-apart on an interior surface to receive a portion of respective plates; and first and second exterior grooves on an exterior surface around the first and second finger ends respectively. The assembly also includes first and second garter springs which are arranged around the fingers in respective first and second exterior grooves to apply a force against the fingers.
Arrangement for earthing a DC intermediate link
An arrangement for earthing a DC intermediate link connected to a converter on board a track-bound vehicle is configured to be permanently arranged on board the vehicle and comprises two conducting members (23, 24) permanently connected to a pole each of a DC intermediate link and to a first contact member (29, 30) each movably arranged with respect to second contact members (35, 36) permanently connected to a chassis part of the vehicle connected to earth. A handle (34) is connected to the first or second contact members while being electrically insulated with respect thereto to be manually operated for moving the contact members connected thereto between a position of not earthing and a position of earthing the DC intermediate link.
SWITCHGEAR GROUND AND TEST DEVICE HAVING INTERCHANGEABLE GROUNDING BARS
A ground and test (G&T) device includes a test device housing having load and line conductors and a plurality of upper terminals and plurality of lower terminals carried by the test device housing and configured to engage the load and line conductors when the test device housing in installed within the compartment of the switchgear frame. A lower ground bus bar is carried by the test device housing and a plurality of grounding bars selectively connect either the upper terminals to the lower ground bus bar or connect the lower terminals to the lower ground bus bar. A ground shoe assembly is connected to the lower ground bus bar and configured to engage a grounding circuit carried by the switchgear frame.
