A cable recovery machine, having at least one traction module configured to hold and draw at least one cable, in particular of a cable laying plant, and at least one cutting module located downstream of the traction module and able to receive the cable that is introduced into the cutting module in a direction of feed (X1); the cutting module having at least one cutting unit provided with at least one cutting blade and integral with a shaft made to rotate by corresponding drive means, so that by rotating the shaft, the cutting unit is made to rotate and cuts the cable when the latter enters the cutting module in the direction of feed (X1).

Conductor trimmer system

A conductor trimmer may be provided. The conductor trimmer may include a grip and a trimmer. The grip may include a grip handle and a trimmer groove. The trimmer may include a trimmer handle. The trimmer may engage the trimmer groove. With trimmer snuggly attached to both the grip and a conductor, the trimmer may be rotated about conductor by a user holding the grip handle stationary and rotating the trimmer by the trimmer handle. As the trimmer rotates about the conductor, a first roller rail and a second roller rail may ride in the trimmer groove as a blade cuts layers of strands from the conductor.

Control of a cutting tool

An example system includes a cutting tool and a device configured to remotely control the cutting tool. In response to receiving information indicative of actuation of a first user interface item, the device sends a first signal to the cutting tool so as to request enabling the cutting tool to be operated remotely. The cutting tool sends a second signal to the device indicating that remote operation of the cutting tool has been enabled. The cutting tool receives information indicating that the trigger has been activated, and sends a third signal to the device indicating that the cutting tool is ready to perform a cutting operation. The device receives information indicative of actuation of a second user interface item, and responsively, sends a fourth signal to the cutting tool so as to cause the cutting tool to perform the cutting operation.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WELDING AT LEAST THREE CABLES, EACH WITH TWO CONDUCTORS PROTRUDING FROM THE SHEATH ENDS OF THE CABLES
20230074917 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A method for welding at least three cables, each with two conductors protruding from the sheath ends of the cables includes stripping ends of the first conductors and stacking from opposite directions atop one another forming a first stack. The stripped ends of the second conductors are stacked atop one another from opposite directions at a working distance from the first stack forming a second stack. The first stack is arranged in a welding area of a welding device and welded to a first welding point, while the second stack is arranged in a waiting area spaced by the working distance from the welding area. The first welding point is moved by the working distance from the welding area to a storage area, while the second stack is moved by the working distance from the waiting area into the welding area and is welded to a second welding point.

Cable cutter saw

A metal clad electrical cable saw cuts cable laying in a concave track. A cross-cut saw cuts entirely though the cable making the cable into two cables. Two slitting saws cut outer armor of the cable at two places approximately nine inches from the cross-cut to allow removing the severed outer armor. The two slitting saws cut through one or more overlapping rings of metal that form the outer armor which is of an extruded interlocking design, thereby allowing the outer armor to be removed exposing the electrical wires. Slitting blade guards protect an operator's hands while cutting the cable. The exposed electrical wires may be inserted into an electrical box for connection and the remaining outer armor typically “stops” inside an electrical connector. The connector secures the cable in accordance with applicable practice and code requirements.

A tool system is provided that can include a tool body, a controller, and an actuator that is configured to implement a functionality. The tool system can include an extender in communication with the controller and a remote device in communication with the extender. The remote device can transmit a first signal to the extender. The extender can, in response to the first signal, transmit a second signal to the controller to cause the actuator to implement the functionality.

METHOD OF RETROFITTING A DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM TO A VEHICLE

A method and apparatus are disclosed for enabling an existing wire supplying DC current to an electrical load of a vehicle to serve as a clean line for transmission of a data signal without interference from electrical systems of the vehicle. The method comprises identifying opposite ends of the existing wire, cutting the wire at the opposite ends and inserting a respective inductor in series with the wire at each of the opposite ends, to define an intermediate wire section that extends between the two inductors, and coupling data transmitting and receiving units to the intermediate section of the wire to permit data transfer between the transmitting and receiving units.

CLAMPING PLIER

A clamping plier is disclosed, including a first and a second plier bodies. The first and the second plier bodies are connected together through a shaft, an elastic member is provided on the shaft. The first plier body includes a first handle and a first jaw and the second plier body includes a second handle and a second jaw. The first jaw is provided with a first clamping head and a first cable stripping head, and the second jaw is provided with a second clamping head and a second cable stripping head. The first crimping head and the second crimping head cooperate to form a terminal crimping position, the first and the second cable stripping heads cooperate to form a cable cutting and stripping position. The elastic member is connected between the first and the second crimping heads or between the first and the second cable stripping heads.
