PORTED HARDWARE FOR OVERHEAD ELECTRICAL CABLES

Electrical line hardware such as termination arrangements and splices for use with overhead electrical cables that enable the interrogation of the overhead electrical cables through the hardware. The hardware includes at least one port to facilitate access to the strength member of the electrical cable so that interrogation instruments may operatively couple to the strength member and to interrogation elements such as optical fibers associated with the strength member. The interrogation may occur after the overhead electrical cable has been fully tensioned and secured by the hardware, e.g., secured to a support tower.

Insulated blanket hook and strap
11585369 · 2023-02-21 ·

An insulated hook for use with a rubber blanket having a plurality of apertures about its perimeter, the hook having a body formed with a pair of bends between a shank and a conical tip formed at each of a proximal end and a distal end of the hook body. Each conical tip has a flaring base with a width diameter greater than a width diameter of the hook body. The diameter of the hook body and conical tip are sized and shaped to be removably received by the plurality of apertures of the blanket. The hook body is made of durable material such as nylon 6.6 capable of withstanding high temperatures and is non-electrically conductive. A method of use for the hook with an optional strap is included.

Attachment for powered hammer

An attachment is configured for use with a powered hammer to drive a rod into the ground. The attachment includes a body and an impact portion defining a first axis. The impact portion is fixed to the body and immovable relative to the body. The impact portion is configured to receive repeated impacts from the powered hammer. The attachment further comprises a receiving portion in which the rod is receivable. The receiving portion defines a second axis that is parallel with the first axis.

PAYLOAD SUPPORT FRAME FOR UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEM

A payload support frame is adapted to suspend a payload from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) during flight. The frame comprises at least one elongated rigid segment, at least one upper flexible segment at an upper end of the rigid segment, and at least one lower flexible segment at a lower end of the rigid segment. One or more of (a) the at least one rigid segment, (b) the at least one upper flexible segment, or (c) the at least one lower flexible segment comprise a dielectric material. The upper flexible segment is adapted to be selectively attachable, directly or indirectly, to the UAV. The lower flexible segment is adapted to be selectively attachable, directly or indirectly, to the payload.

Aerial line extraction system and method

A technique facilitates selecting and designating an arbitrary one of a plurality of aerial lines. The aerial line extraction system, includes: an area-of-interest cropping unit that crops a region where an aerial line is assumed to exist as an area of interest by setting a support of the aerial line as a reference from a three-dimensional point cloud data; an element segmenting unit that segments the area of interest into a plurality of subdivided areas, obtains a histogram by counting three-dimensional point clouds existing in each of the subdivided areas, and obtains a segmentation plane of the area of interest on the basis of the histogram; and an element display unit that segments the area of interest into a plurality of segmented areas by the segmentation plane and displays the three-dimensional point clouds included in each of the segmented areas in a distinguishable manner.

REMOTE STRUCTURE TEMPERATURE MONITOR
20230100745 · 2023-03-30 ·

A data collection device and a temperature monitor unit monitors the temperature of a remote structure. The temperature monitor unit has a thermocouple, a communications device assembly having an antenna and a transmitter, a power supply for powering the controller and the communications device, and an enclosure for surrounding the communications device and the power supply with the thermocouple and the antenna extending therethrough. The communications device obtains a temperature from the thermocouple and activates the transmitter to send the temperature to the data collection device through the antenna.
