Wire tool for stripping and terminating electrical wires and methods of using the same

A multi-purpose wire tool which is capable of slitting and cutting the outer insulation sheath of commonly used 12/2 and 14/2 gauge multi-conductor insulated electrical cabling (Romex-style cable), as well as stripping, twisting, capping and hooking the individual insulated wires for both rough-in and finish electrical trim work.

Method For Removing A Cable Film

A method for easy, safe and fast removal of a section of a cable film. An end section of a cable has a cable axis, wherein the cable includes a cable jacket and at least one electrically conductive conductor structure and which includes a cable film made from a plastic and applied into one of the conductor structures. A defined damaged region is generated by inductively heating at least that conductor structure on which the cable film is applied such that the cable film applied onto the heated conductor structure is at least partially thermally damaged in the damaged region. The cable film is moved relative to one of the conductor structures, wherein a crack is formed by the relative movement in the damaged region that separates the section of the cable film to be removed from a section of the cable film remaining on the cable.

In general, the application of the present invention regards the electrical wiring of buildings. In particular, the solution identified concerns the positioning and installation of boxes suitable for housing electrical sockets, or control systems, or various sensors on the walls of the rooms, when these internal walls are made, or covered, with panels made of plasterboard or, alternatively, with other similar materials.

The present invention indicates a box for extracting electrical contacts from an electric line made by means of a “ribbon cable” laid under a surface finishing panel of a wall or ceiling. This box is easy to install, and makes an electrical power interface available on this wall, so that said power interface is accessible to a load.

CIRCULAR CUTTING UNIT AND DRIVE FOR MULTILAYER WIRE

A circular cutting unit for partially cutting one or more layers of a cable or wire along a cutting plane. The circular cutting unit include a knife head including a drive disc and an adjustment disc that are each rotatable about a disc axis. A pair of knife holders that each include a knife blade are pivotally mounted to the drive disc. Relative rotation of the adjustment disc relative to the drive disc causes the knife holders to pivot causing movement of the knife blades toward or away from each other. The circular cutting unit includes a primary drive assembly and an adjustment drive assembly that are each separately operable. The primary drive assembly rotates the knife head at the cutting speed and the adjustment drive assembly rotates the adjustment disc relative to the drive disc.

A wire stripper part or assembly uses two or more elements for a blade roller, with one element being a cutter, and the other element or elements being a guide element that keeps the wire aligned with the cutter. A tri-blade self-centering wire stripper knife is also described. A wire stripper has: a structural frame; parallel rollers mounted on the structural frame to rotate relative to one another, one of the parallel rollers being a feed roller and the other being a blade roller; and in which the blade roller has a wire cutter comprising a cutting blade and one or more circumferential guide shoulders, with the wire cutter aligned with a wire-gripping portion of the feed roller to define a wire-cutting zone. Methods of use are described.

There is provided a coating moving method for a cable that removes a coating at a terminal portion of a cable, including a step of applying a pressing force having such a magnitude that a cutting edge stops at a position before reaching the core wire to the cutting blade to make an incision on the coating by the cutting blade, a step of twist-cutting an uncut portion of the coating between the cutting edge of the cutting blade and the outer periphery of the core wire by rotating the coating on a distal end side from an incision position with respect to the coating on a base end side, and a step of removing the coating on the distal end side from the incision position by gripping and pulling out the coating on the distal end side from the incision position to expose the core wire.

ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR FOR A ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE WOUND COMPONENT

An electrical conductor for a rotating electrical machine wound component includes a body formed of an electrically conductive material and a coating layer formed of an electrically insulating material, the coating layer partially covering the body. The conductor is formed of a first portion, referred to as the main portion, in which the body is covered by the coating layer, a second portion, referred to as the intermediate portion, in which the body is covered with residue of the coating layer, and a third portion, referred to as the stripped portion, in which the body is bare. The intermediate portion is arranged between the main portion and the stripped portion.

Strip stop mechanism using rotating lever as a positioning stop

A strip stop mechanism for a fiber stripping machine including a channel for receiving an optical fiber. The strip stop mechanism can include a lever operably mounted to the fiber stripping machine, the lever extending between a first end and a second end and being rotatable between a first position and a second position. When the lever is in the first position, the first end of the lever resides within the channel to provide an end stop for the optical fiber. When the lever is in the second position, the first end of the lever is at least partially withdrawn from the channel and the fiber stripping machine is activated. A second end of the lever can be configured to depress an activation button of the fiber stripping machine once the first end of the lever is at least partially removed from the channel.

A wire stripping assembly includes a pair of pliers including a pair of handles and a pair of jaws. Each of the jaws has a plurality of cutting slots integrated therein. The cutting slots in each of the jaws forms a hole when the jaws are closed for having a wire positioned therein. The hole formed by each of the cutting slots has a unique diameter with respect to each other. In this way the hole formed by each of the pairs of cutting slots can accommodate a unique gauge of wire with respect to each other. The cutting slots in each of the jaws is positioned on a leading edge of the jaws thereby facilitating the pair of pliers to be pulled toward a user when the user is stripping the insulation from the wire.

A bench top universal wire recycling system adapted to remove insulation from electrical wires in order to more efficiently recycle the wire is achieved by a lightweight bench top universal wire recycling system, a copper cut fixture is mounted in a housing which supports a wedge blank system. The wedge blank system includes a preset stop block with a modified spring plunger. A custom wedge blank permits large wires or very small wires to have insulation removed or stripped therefrom. The housing includes a blade block system, which allows for micro-adjustments in the wire stripping procedure. The blade in the blade block system has minimal or no contact with the metal of the wire, and efficient contact with the insulation to be removed from the wire.
