System and method for sealing electrical terminals
A sealing device and method for sealing an electrical terminal. The sealing device includes a heat shrinkable tubing having an inner wall. A first sealant/adhesive is configured to cooperate with the heat shrinkable tubing. The first sealant/adhesive has a first sealant/adhesive first surface and an oppositely facing first sealant/adhesive second surface. The second surface of the first sealant/adhesive is bonded to the inner wall of the heat shrinkable tubing. A second sealant/adhesive is configured to cooperate with free ends of electrical conductors which are in electrical engagement with the electrical terminal. The second sealant/adhesive has a second sealant/adhesive first surface and an oppositely facing second sealant/adhesive second surface. The second sealant/adhesive first surface is provided in engagement with the electrical conductors. The second sealant/adhesive second surface is provided in engagement and bonded with the first sealant/adhesive first surface.
ELECTRICAL POWER CABLE MONITORING DEVICE INCLUDING PARTIAL DISCHARGE SENSOR
Techniques, systems and articles are described for monitoring electrical equipment of a power grid and predicting likelihood failure events of such electrical equipment. In one example, a cable accessory is configured to couple to an electrical power cable and includes a partial discharge sensor and a communications unit. The partial discharge sensor is configured to detect partial discharge events and output data indicative of the partial discharge events. The communications unit is configured to output event data based at least in part on the partial discharge data.

WIRING HARNESS
A wiring harness capable of reliably blocking a leak path after an endurance test and exhibiting a good waterproof performance over a long period of time. The wiring harness has a waterproof structure in which a spliced portion is formed by joining conductors that are exposed by partially removing coating materials, and a conductor exposed portion composed of a bundle of the exposed conductors. An outer peripheral surface of each coating material end part of each insulated wire adjacent to the conductor exposed portion are continuously covered with a waterproofing agent to seal the conductor exposed portion and is configured using a reactive adhesive having a gel fraction in a range of 20 to 70% as the waterproofing agent.

TERMINAL-EQUIPPED WIRE
A terminal-equipped wire is provided with an insulated wire including a core and an insulation coating covering the periphery of the core, a terminal including a wire connecting portion connected to the insulated wire, a heat shrinkable tube configured to cover the periphery of the wire connecting portion while being shrunk by receiving heat, and a sheet-like intervening member provided between the heat shrinkable tube and the terminal.
FIELD GRADING MEMBERS, CABLES HAVING FIELD GRADING MEMBERS, AND METHODS OF MAKING FIELD GRADING MEMBERS
A field grading composite body includes a polymeric matrix and a particulate filler distributed within the polymeric matrix. Particles of the particulate filler include a core formed from a semiconductor material, an oxide mixed layer deposited on the core, and conducting oxide layer. The conducting oxide layer deposited on the oxide mixed layer to provide an electrical percolation path through the polymeric matrix triggered by strength of an electric field extending through the field composite body. Conductors and methods of making field grading composite bodies for conductors are also described.
Transmission cable joint for a medium voltage underground cable system
The application relates to a transmission cable joint for a medium voltage underground cable system. The cable joint comprises at least a casing and connection terminals for coupling wires of transmission cables. In addition, the connection terminals are in connection with an inductance component that is sheltered by the casing and limits capacitive earth fault current, when the coupled cables produce such current.
MOUNTING DEVICE FOR MOUNTING SLEEVE ON COAXIAL CABLE, MOUNTING METHOD FOR MOUNTING SLEEVE ON COAXIAL CABLE AND SHIELDED ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE PATH
It is aimed to externally fit a sleeve formed into a tubular shape to a braided wire. A mounting device is a device for mounting a tubular sleeve on a coaxial cable having a front end part of a braided wire exposed in front of a sheath to externally fit the sleeve to the braided wire, and is provided with an expansion restricting jig including an expansion restricting portion for restricting expansive deformation of the braided wire and relatively displaceable in an axial direction with respect to the braided wire with the expansion restricting portion held in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the braided wire. The expansion restricting jig is formed with a positioning portion for positioning the sleeve concentrically with the braided wire with the sleeve arranged forward of the expansion restricting portion.
