The present invention relates to a detection device for detecting a position of a conductor, a wire processing equipment, and a method for detecting a position of a conductor in wire processing. The detection device has: a bracket; and a plurality of conductive probes provided on the bracket and spaced from each other. The conductive probes have a detection position, and the detection device is configured to determine whether the detected conductor is at a predetermined position by detecting whether the conductive probes at the detection position are electrically connected through the conductor; when at least two conductive probes are electrically connected with each other through the detected conductor, the detected conductor is determined in the predetermined position; when no two conductive probes are electrically connected with each other through the detected conductor, the detected conductor is determined not in the predetermined position. The detection device for detecting the position of the conductor, the wire processing equipment and the method for detecting the position of the conductor in the wire processing of the invention can automatically detect whether the conductor is in the designated position, which provides a basis for further automatic processing of the wire.

INSULATING COATING DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC WIRE

Provided is an insulating coating device for an electric wire, including a pressing pipe. The pressing pipe includes two first pressing parts which are configured to divide the pressing pipe into two parts along a longitudinal cross section of the pressing pipe, an inner wall of the pressing pipe is provided with an air bag, and the air bag is provided with an air pipe joint which penetrates to an outside of the pressing pipe. In the insulating coating device for the electric wire, a self-curing insulating material is coated on joints of the electric wires, the air bag is used to squeeze the self-curing insulating material such that the self-curing insulating material is shaped and compacted, so that cavities generated in a coating process is reduced, and the self-curing insulating material is uniformly attached to the joints of the electric wires.

Systems and methods for injecting electrical cables with a fluid

An adapter probe configured for injecting fluid (e.g., liquid, gas) into at least one electrical cable. Particularly for injecting an electrical cable with a fluid when the electrical cable is affixed to a separable connector (e.g., elbow separable connector). Separable connector may be configured to connect sources of energy (e.g., transformer, circuit breaker) with distribution systems via electrical cable (or cable section).

Core extraction assessment

Generating an assessment of the suitability of cables, ducts, tubes, pipes and/or other hollow-type of conduits to extraction of cores, conductors, insulation, etc. included therein while still buried in the ground or otherwise positioned out-of-sight so as to be unavailable for visual and/or physical inspection is contemplated. The assessment may be used to indicate a suitability of a cable buried in the ground of a hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) cable plant to extraction of the type whereby a core of the cable may be extracted using hydraulics while still buried.

Rejuvenation of subsea electrical cable insulation

Described is a cable rejuvenation apparatus for a cable used in a subsea environment. The apparatus applies a bias signal to a conducting element of the cable, the bias signal being selected to improve the insulation properties of the cable. The bias signal is generated by a bias signal generator that includes a voltage source that generates a bias voltage having a time varying component. The bias voltage promotes an electrochemical reaction between the conducting element and the salt containing liquid of the subsea environment resulting in the formation of a barrier material at the fault location restricting further leakage current flow and enhancing the insulation resistance of the cable. The bias signal is a voltage selected such that the electrochemical reaction promoted by the bias voltage maintains the presence of the barrier material at the fault location.
