CABLE RETAINER AND METHOD
20230369839 · 2023-11-16 ·

A method of connecting a cable with a cable retainer may include forming a hole into a flat cable, forming a first slit into the flat cable, and/or forming a second slit into the flat cable. The first slit, the second slit, and/or the hole may define an opening. A cable retainer may include a base, a first portion connected to the base and having a first length, and/or a second portion connected to the first portion having a second length that may be greater than the first length. The method may include inserting an edge of the second portion into the opening at an oblique or right angle relative to the flat cable, and/or positioning the cable retainer such that the first portion is partially disposed in the hole and a portion of the flat cable is disposed between the base and the second portion.

Pipeline electric heating system

A pipeline electric heating system for a transport pipeline comprising a pipe and thermal insulation therearound, comprising a power supply transformer, a feed terminal, an end terminal, one or more service terminals positioned between the feed and end terminals, a parameter control and monitoring system, and a heating cable arrangement including three heating resistive cables connected to three phases of a three-phase power electrical supply extending along the pipe from the feed terminal to the end terminal passing through the one or more service terminals. Each said resistive cable is mounted individually within a corresponding cable guide, the cable guides and associated resistive cables mounted therein being mounted on an outer surface of the pipe and below the thermal insulation. Each resistive cable comprises an inner conductor and a shield surrounding the inner conductor, wherein the shields of each resistive cable are connected to ground and are interconnected together at the end terminal and/or at the feed terminal, and wherein the shields or inner conductors are transposed at said at least one service terminal.

Electric track system for various appliances via magnetic positioning
11004584 · 2021-05-11 · ·

The present invention relates to an electric track system which can accommodate various appliance module using magnetic positioning. It supplements the missing functions of the current electric tracks, i.e., permitting the mixed use of the track-based fans and lights. This newly designed track can also be mounted to the wall for safe use of various electric appliances. The electric track system with magnetic positioning provides great flexibility, personal comfort and energy efficiency in both air circulation and room illumination for commercial and residential environments. With this system, various electric appliances can be mounted onto the track in a safe and quick way. A magnetic telescopic control rod is used to adjust the positions of the electric appliances in the ceiling-mounted track, like fans and lights. It brings safety and convenience to everyday life at affordable cost.

In various implementations, a raceway may include a housing with walls and arms extending from the housing. A cavity may be disposed in the housing and cables may reside in the cavity, during use. The cables may provide connectivity to receptacles of the raceway and thus a variety of devices. A cover may be utilized with the housing to facilitate access to the cables in the cavity of the housing. In some implementations, the cover may be retained by flexible arms of the housing. The raceway may be configured to receive wire clips to retain cables and/or conduit disposed in a cavity of the raceway.

Concealed safety fasteners for communication lines
10927977 · 2021-02-23 · ·

A fastener for communication lines includes a flat metallic body having an opening for a metallic mounting screw. A distal end of the body is configured to capture a line previously installed along a building surface via an adhesive or other non-metallic fastener. A cover has an open top, and a bottom wall having an opening that aligns with the opening in the fastener body when the cover is disposed over the body. The screw is inserted through the top of the cover, and the openings in the bottom wall and the fastener body, to mount the fastener body together with the cover at a position on the building surface where the fastener captures the line securely. The line is thus prevented from collapsing and interfering with responders if the adhesive fails during a building fire. The fastener is concealed by closing the cover top with an associated cap.
