The present invention relates to a power transmission underground cable winding device and a power transmission underground cable spreading system comprising same and, more specifically, to: a power transmission underground cable winding device for installing a power transmission three-phase underground cable in an underground power tunnel or conduit; and a power transmission underground cable spreading system comprising same.

A foldable rectangular plastic/composite enclosure having first, second, third and fourth sides connected by hinges. The enclosure folds flat by rotating the sides on the hinges but is constructed to fold only in one direction. The hinges allow the enclosure to be folded flat for storage and transportation. The hinges are composed of a plurality of hinge members wherein each hinge member is positioned in a housing. The housing has an open interior which helps anchor the enclosure in the ground. An insertable locking pin can be inserted through each hinge to prevent the enclosure from folding. The enclosure can be made of plastic/composite imbedded with fibers such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, or ceramic fibers or imbedded with particles such as glass particles. The use of plastic/composite and various openings or cutouts makes the enclosure light weight.

A utility distribution enclosure disclosed herein includes a container that defines an interior space that is interior of the container, a detent formed about inner surfaces of the container, and a partition positionably releaseably engageable with the detent to subdivide the interior space into a first subspace and a second subspace selectingly sized to accommodate a first utility interface and a second utility interface by positioning of the partition, in various aspects. The partition blocks interactions between the first utility interface and the second utility interface.

A utility distribution enclosure disclosed herein includes a container that defines an interior space that is interior of the container, a detent formed about inner surfaces of the container, and a partition positionably releaseably engageable with the detent to subdivide the interior space into a first subspace and a second subspace selectingly sized to accommodate a first utility interface and a second utility interface by positioning of the partition, in various aspects. In various embodiments, lids for an in-ground or subgrade vault is provided. In various embodiments, lids are provided with a plastic reinforcement structure and concrete. The plastic reinforcement structure includes one or more plastic sidewalls that protect the edges of the lid from damage. An internal reinforcement structure comprises receiving members for receiving, securing, and positioning rebar members that are cast in place in a finished product.

An in-ground electrical transformer trough, supporting a transformer pad is a non-conductive composite vault located below a transformer pad to provide for better access to a molded cavity below the transformer and pad to prevent access by animals, to enhance wire mobility to make it easier to switch or terminate insider the transformer, with the new design of the new bell designed at the bottom of the trough preventing floating, lift or rise after installation and to allow additional pipes, conduits and wires to be installed in the future, wherein the trough is installed prior to the installation of the ground pad and transformer to be set stable within the soil, with the transformer pad poured around the rim of the trough, further preventing slant or misplacement of the transformer and pad and providing a more solid mounting upon the ground surface without future sinking, tilt or slant.

An apparatus for use with a manhole and a cable, and a method thereof, is provided. The apparatus comprises a frame having an opening and a coupling mechanism for releasably securing the frame about the manhole such that the opening communicates with the manhole. The apparatus also includes a bearing secured to the frame adjacent the opening, the bearing having a surface over which a cable may travel in a manner that reduces wear on the cable when the cable is fed into or drawn through the opening in the hole.
