CABLE HARNESS GROMMET AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
20230115627 · 2023-04-13 ·

A cable harness grommet for installation in an aircraft interior component, and method of installing the same. The cable harness grommet seals a honeycomb panel cut-out and seals the cable harness itself as the cable harness passes through the cut-out by way of an aperture in the cable harness grommet. The honeycomb panel cut-out is enclosed by the cable harness grommet such that the cable harness grommet closes and seals the honeycomb panel cut-out and the aperture around the cable harness itself, both in compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements.

COMPOSITE CABLE SEAL

BUSHING WITH ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE HEAD MOUNTED ON CONDENSER CORE

The present disclosure relates to a bushing including an electrical conductor comprising a terminal at a first end of the bushing. The bushing also includes an electrically insulating condenser core arranged around the conductor and defining a central longitudinal through-hole through which the conductor extends. The bushing also includes a plurality of concentric field-grading layers arranged in the condenser core, comprising an inner field-grading layer and an outer field-grading layer. The bushing also includes an electrically conductive head electrically connected with the conductor passing there through, forming a gas-tight cap of the first end of the bushing outside of the condenser core, sealingly engaging a circumferential lateral outer surface of the condenser core and sealingly engaging the conductor. The bushing also includes an electrically conductive connection between the inner field-grading layer and the head.

CABLE BUSHING
20230072573 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A cable bushing having a two-part, frame-shaped housing having lower and upper housing parts forming a passage opening in the installed position. An elastic sealing element is inserted into the lower and upper housing parts, respectively. The two sealing elements close the passage opening in the installed position, forming adjacent tubular cable bushing channels. The corresponding cable bushing channel is formed by semi-tubular recesses in the corresponding sealing element. Each sealing element has parallel longitudinal walls, separated from one another by longitudinal grooves, respectively. The innermost longitudinal wall is closed. For forming the corresponding cable bushing channel, the other longitudinal walls have semi-tubular recesses with a decreasing radius from the outermost to the second innermost longitudinal wall. One sealing element has transverse ridges between adjacent cable bushing channels orthogonally to the longitudinal walls. The other sealing element has recesses complementary to the ridges in the longitudinal walls.

CABLE SEALING UNIT WITH MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS

A communication enclosure includes a housing and a fiber optic organizer. The housing defines a plurality of ports. The fiber optic organizer includes a tower configured to hold one or more fiber management trays. The tower is mountable to the housing in one of at least two different tower positions. In the first tower position, the tower is disposed between a first of the ports and a second of the ports. In the second tower position, the tower is disposed between the second port and a third of the ports.
