The triple redundant digital protective relay according to the present invention includes: three power monitoring control devices which have a triple redundant structure and control a circuit breaker for separating a failed power system based on a 2 out of 3 voting using real-time mutual data communication; and a central communication device which acquires data related to an operating state of the power system from the three power monitoring control devices and manages the acquired data related to the operating state of the power system.
SMART GRID INTERFACE RELAY AND BREAKER
A controllable main breaker includes a main breaker sized to fit within an existing panel slot of an electrical panel. The main breaker comprises a trigger to open the main breaker in response to a thermal fault or overcurrent event. The controllable main breaker further includes an auxiliary shell sized to fit within at least one adjacent breaker slot. The auxiliary shell includes a controllable actuator that mechanically opens the main breaker.
Smart bus plug remote actuation, monitoring, and control
A power distribution system includes a plurality of bus plugs. Each of a respective bus plug of the plurality of bus plugs includes an electrical switch configured to selectively control a corresponding energization of the respective bus plug and an actuator operable to control a corresponding electrical switch. The system includes a remote application having commands defining the energization of at least one of the plurality of bus plugs. The system further includes a communication module configured to communicate the commands from the remote application to the at least one of the plurality of bus plugs. The commands cause the corresponding actuator to control the corresponding electrical switch. Methods of controlling energization of a bus plug with a remote application and communication module configured to operate an actuator are also provided.
Power quality device having communication interface
Systems and methods provide power quality devices that have a dual use connector that will couple to a device being protected, such as a telephone handset, and will also provide a communication interface that a technician can access to establish communications with the power quality device.
Smart wiring devices
A protective wiring device disposed in an electrical distribution system, the device comprising: a plurality of line terminals comprising a line-side phase terminal and a line-side neutral terminal; a plurality of load terminals comprising a load-side phase terminal and a load-side neutral terminal; a line conductor electrically coupling the line-side phase terminal to the load-side phase terminal; a neutral conductor electrically coupling the line-side neutral terminal to the load-side neutral terminal; a controller configured to transmit wirelessly data derived from signals present on at least one of the line conductor or the neutral conductor and to receive wirelessly receive at least one command.
Systems and methods for analyzing and optimizing dynamic tolerance curves
A method for analyzing power quality events in an electrical system includes processing electrical measurement data from or derived from energy-related signals captured by at least one metering device in the electrical system to generate at least one dynamic tolerance curve. Each dynamic tolerance curve of the at least one dynamic tolerance curve characterizes a response characteristic of the electrical system at a respective metering point in the electrical system. The method also includes analyzing the at least one dynamic tolerance curve to identify special cases which require further evaluation(s)/clarification to be discernable and/or actionable. The at least one dynamic tolerance curve may be regenerated or updated, and/or new or additional dynamic tolerance curves may be generated, to provide the further clarification. One or more actions affecting at least one component in the electrical system may be performed in response to an analysis of the curve(s).
Protective device for LC filter
A protective device protects an LC filter in a vehicle. The vehicle includes a first vehicle-mounted electric device and a second vehicle-mounted electric device. The first vehicle-mounted electric device includes a first power converter. The second vehicle-mounted electric device includes a second power converter and shares a power supply with the first vehicle-mounted electric device. The LC filter is arranged between the first power converter and the power supply. The LC filter is configured such that the resonance frequency band of the LC filter can be changed. The resonance frequency band of the LC filter is changed based on a ripple amount in a current flowing in the LC filter.
OVER-VOLTAGE PROTECTION CIRCUIT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An over-voltage protection circuit for executing an over-voltage protection for a LED module of an electronic device. The over-voltage protection circuit includes a control unit and an over-voltage detection module, a trigger module and an adjustment module. The LED module includes a positive input port. The over-voltage detection module detects a voltage of the positive input port of the LED module and produce a detection voltage proportional to the voltage of the positive input port. The control unit controls the LED module to work or do not work according to the detection voltage. The trigger module produces corresponding trigger signals according to a 2D signal or a 3D signal output by a 2D/3D signal port. The adjustment module adjusts the proportion between the detection voltage and the voltage of the positive input port according to the trigger signal.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR SWITCHING OPEN CONTACT GAPS USING SWITCHING DEVICES
The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for switching clearances between contacts by means of switching devices, wherein an energy provides an actuator energy for at least one switching device, in particular a vacuum interrupter.
ACCESSORY DEVICE FOR AN ELECTRONIC PROTECTION RELAY
An accessory device for an electronic protection relay comprising: a first communication port for communication with one or more electronic devices of the electronic protection relay or operatively connected with the electronic protection relay; a second communication port for communication with one or more computerized units through the Internet; a first processing means to manage the operation of the accessory device, the first processing means being operatively coupled with the first and second communication ports. The accessory device is configured to execute a data-gathering procedure (DGP), in which the accessory device polls one or more electronic devices, which are in communication with the accessory device through the first communication port, and receives grid data (D), which are related to the operation of an electric power distribution grid including the electronic protection relay, from the electronic devices in response to the polling. The accessory device is configured to execute a data-publishing procedure (DPP), in which the accessory device transmits the grid data (D) to a publishing computerized unit, which is in communication with the accessory device through the second communication port.
