By providing the temperature monitoring circuit, the leakage current protection device can prevent the appliance form being in a high temperature condition for prolonged time period, greatly improving safety of the appliance.

A power cord includes an outer coating layer. Live, neutral, and ground wires are in the outer coating layer. The live wire includes a core and first insulation layer. Neutral wire shielding and second insulation layers are successively outside the neutral wire core. The ground wire includes a core and insulation layer sheathed outside the ground wire core. When the live and neutral wire shielding layers are broken or the live wire and its shielding layer are short-circuited, and the neutral wire and its shielding layer are short-circuited, the leakage protector detects an abnormal signal of the power cord and interrupts the electrical connection of the live and neutral wires, to prevent fire between the live and neutral wire cores after the power cord is broken.

A power supply channel (5) is set up to make sure that the electrical equipment can be normally operated via the system even in the condition of the power supply connection faults. According to the method and system, the electricity leakage of the outer surface can be correctly detected and the alarm can be made or the connection between the electrical equipment and the power supply can be cut even if the electrical equipment's outer surface is not grounded. With the advantage of simple construction and low cost, the system can be widely used.
