Methods to Initiate the Absence of Voltage Test Over a Network Remotely
An absence of voltage detection system has an isolation module connected to a voltage source to be detected an I/O accessory module connected to the isolation module wherein the I/O accessory module is configured to allow remote activation of the isolation module.
SWITCH DEVICE
A switch device includes a switching element that connects/disconnects a current path from a power supply terminal to a ground terminal via a load, and an overcurrent protection circuit that limits output current flowing in the switching element to be an overcurrent limit value or less. When an output short circuit of the load is detected, the overcurrent protection circuit decreases the overcurrent limit value to be lower as a power supply voltage is higher. In addition, the switch device preferably includes a switching element that connects/disconnects a current path from a power supply terminal to a ground terminal via a load, an intermittent control unit that intermittently drives the switching element when an abnormality is detected, and an output voltage monitoring portion that disables the intermittent control unit until an output voltage applied to the load reaches its target value.
ARC FLASH MITIGATION DEVICE
A device includes an electro-mechanical switching device having an open-circuit and closed-circuit conditions and a path of least resistance having a path input and a path output with the switching device between the input and the output. The device includes a bypass power switch device that comprises a solid-state circuit interrupter and that is configured to conduct current between the input and the output in response to an open-circuit condition of the switching device. The device includes a current sensor that is connected to the output and configured to detect a fault current event. The device includes an actuator that is coupled to the switching device and a controller that is configured to generate a trigger signal to activate the actuator to cause the open-circuit condition of the switching device and to interrupt the fault current event by the power switch device, based on the detected fault current event.
Broken conductor detector
The present disclosure pertains to detection of a broken conductor in an electric power system. In one embodiment, a broken conductor detector may be configured to be mounted to an electrical conductor and may comprise a communication subsystem configured to transmit a signal configured to indicate that the conductor is broken. A sensor may determine a plurality of vectors. A processing subsystem may be configured to receive the plurality of vectors from the sensor and to identify when the vector is outside of a range defined by a threshold value. The processing subsystem may determine that the conductor is falling based on the plurality of vectors remaining outside of the threshold for a period of time determined by the timer subsystem. A signal may be transmitted by the communication subsystem to indicate that the conductor is falling.

BATTERY SECONDARY PROTECTION CIRCUIT AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
A battery secondary protection circuit includes a first pin, a second pin, a first sensing circuit, a first current source, a first enabling circuit and a first protection circuit. The first pin and the second pin are coupled to two terminals of a first battery. The first sensing circuit, coupled between the first pin and second pin, provides a first sensing signal and a second sensing signal. The first current source, coupled between the first pin and second pin, provides a first current. The first enabling circuit, coupled to the first sensing circuit and first current source, generates a first enabling signal according to the first sensing signal. The first protection circuit is coupled to the first sensing circuit. When the first enabling signal enables the first current source, the first protection circuit generates a first protection signal according to a second sensing signal changed with the first current.
