Microcapsule With A Porous Or Hollow Core And A Shell Containing A Component Releasing Gas Upon Contact With An Acid
The invention relates to a microcapsule comprising a hollow or porous core, the hollow or porous core being composed of a crosslinked polymeric material and containing a component to be released, a shell, the shell being composed of a polymeric material containing a component, which is able to produce gas upon exposure to acid. The microcapsule can be used for formulating dental materials.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DISINFECTING REMOVABLE DENTAL APPLIANCES
Dental or oral appliance cleansing compositions not used in the mouth are described as having an effervescence system and a surfactant. The cleansing composition can remove a biofilm adherent to the dental or oral appliance; does not contain an artificial dye, does not contain >70 wt. % sodium dodecyl sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate with respect to total surfactant wt. percent, does not contain sulfonate- or sulfoacetate-containing surfactants, does not contain phosphate- or amine-containing chelating agents, does not contain a bleaching agent, and is able to remove greater than 46% of biofilm from the dental or oral appliance soaked in the cleansing composition in about 15 minutes.
EMOLLIENT AND CLEANSING AGENT
The present invention relates to a combination comprising polyglyceryl-4 caprate and glyceryl monocaprylate, its use as emollient and/or cleansing agent and to the resulting cosmetic compositions.
TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE PELLETS
A toothbrush having a handle portion, a shank portion and a head portion. A channel extends longitudinally through the handle portion, the shank portion and terminates in the head portion. The channel is sized to slidably receive one or more toothpaste pellet formulated to effervesce when exposed to water or saliva. An aperture extends transverse through the head portion providing fluid communication into the channel. A one-way gate is disposed within the channel permitting a toothpaste pellet to pass into the head portion, and to prevent the toothpaste pellet from passing out of the head portion. A handle cap is removably attached to a lower end of the handle portion. The head portion and shank portion may be received within a head cap that removably attaches to the handle portion.
Carbon dioxide external preparation
Provided is a nonaqueous carbon dioxide external preparation in single dosage form, the external preparation comprising a paste base, carbonate, an acid and/or a substance which produces an acid by hydrolysis, and alcohol. Merely by being applied onto skin, this external preparation is useful due to obtaining the effect of a specific action of carbon dioxide.
Systems, compositions, and methods for cleansing and detoxifying keratin fibers
The disclosure relates to systems and compositions for cleansing and detoxifying keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers such as the hair, as well as processes for cleansing and detoxifying keratin fibers using the systems and compositions according to the disclosure.
