SYSTEM STABILIZING CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD
A system stabilizing controller for estimating and controlling stability of a power grid includes a collection unit collecting grid information including a power flow amount from the power grid and a calculation unit calculating a generator shedding amount at a fault observation point on the basis of the grid information and estimating a correlation line on the basis of the power flow amount and generator shedding amount. The calculation unit determines a generator phase angle curve that is the relationship between the internal generator phase angle of a generator connected to the power grid and the power flow amount, determines a stability limit power flow amount on the basis of the amounts of generator acceleration energy and deceleration energy in the generator phase angle curve, determines a stability limit generator shedding amount corresponding to the stability limit power flow amount, and estimates a correlation line including a stability limit point.
MITIGATION OF POWER OUTAGES
Technology for mitigating impact of a power outage includes a method that determines power regulation data and identifies a power interruption event. The power interruption event is determined to disrupt operation of an electronic device powered by a grid power supply based on the power regulation data. The method mitigates the identified power interruption event by causing an electronic power supply device to transition from receiving power from the grid power supply to receive power from a local power supply where the electronic device is electrically coupled to the electronic power supply device.
MICROGRID SYSTEM COMPRISING ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM (ESS)-CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER SYSTEM
An improved EMS (Energy Management System) of ESS (Energy Storage System)—connected photovoltaic power system is provided, where the economic efficiency of the microgrid power transaction is maximized by minimizing the amount paid to the power system as a result of optimal operation as to the energy supply and demand in the process of transacting power surplus/shortage with the power system, the responsiveness to passive resource energy forecasting of supply and demand is improved by resolving the uncertainty of solar power generation forecasting and load forecasting, the deterioration of the available storage capacity of ESS is minimized, and contribution to solving the nation's power supply shortage is made by the operation based on the detailed identification of energy storage status of ESS.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING TIME-AVERAGED PEAK CHARGES
Systems and methods for minimizing demand charges, including determining one or more optimal monthly demand charge thresholds based on historical load data, time of use charges, demand charges, and energy storage unit size for one or more end users. A grid power dispatch setpoint is calculated for a particular time step based on a daily load forecast and a daily economic dispatch solution based on the determined optimal monthly demand charge thresholds. A grid power dispatch setpoint for a subsequent time step is determined by iteratively solving the daily energy dispatch for the subsequent time step to determine an optimal grid power dispatch setpoint. Energy and demand charges are minimized by controlling charging and discharging operations for the energy storage unit in real-time based on the determined optimal grid power dispatch setpoint.
ENERGY PLANNING SYSTEM AND ENERGY PLANNING METHOD
An energy planning system that proposes an appropriate energy plan for a home includes: a sensor that senses a state of an energy facility in a home; a predictor that predicts a future lifestyle of a resident of the home; and a proposer that determines information about an energy plan for the home based on a result of the sensing by the sensor and the lifestyle predicted by the predictor, and outputs the information.
Community energy management system
Systems and methods for distributed control and energy management of one or more communities of energy-consuming units may include aggregation of consumption data from units, and determining per-unit electricity consumption based thereon, including consumption of backup power provided by a community during periods of time of poor quality (brownouts) or blackouts of a utility. A system may calculate and assess to respective units per-unit costs for such backup power. A system may also issue a command or alert to units to carry out one or both of community electricity usage objectives and electricity quotas required by the utility, which may be determined through execution of rules.
POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, POWER MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND POWER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
An EMS includes a control unit that controls a power generation facility and a power adjustment unit that adjusts an amount of supply of supply power. The control unit includes: a reverse power flow suppression process determination unit; a priority decision unit that decides a priority for adjusting an amount of power generated for the two power generation devices of the power generation facility on the basis of a predicted degree of fluctuation in load power; and a device control unit that controls the power generation facility such that the amount of power generated is adjusted in descending order of the priority decided by the priority decision unit when the reverse power flow suppression process determination unit determines to reduce the amount of power generated by the power generation facility.
CONTROLLER, DEVICE CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
In a controller, memories store device status data indicating an operation status of an electrical device, and measurement value data indicating an actual achieved value of a power consumption amount of the electrical device. When an energy saving is requested, a projector calculates, based on the device status data and the measurement data, a first projection value for the power consumption amount of the electrical device in accordance with a first execution plan responding to the request, and a second projection value for the power consumption amount of the electrical device in accordance with a second execution plan not to respond to the request. A calculator presents a projection result to the user.
Method and device for managing electric energy consumption and/or production
A method of managing electric energy consumption and/or production dynamics, includes the steps of: sampling an electric energy flow, adapted to be measured by an electricity metering device (1) within a network (15) of an electrical company; calculating a variation ΔE.sub.i=(E.sub.i−E.sub.i−1)/Δt at regular intervals, where E.sub.i and E.sub.i−1 are two integral sum values of electric energy amounts consolidated over a given number of cycles and Δt represents a time interval between the respective times at which the two values are obtained; adding the variation (ΔE.sub.i) to analogous variations calculated at previous times, to obtain a cumulative sum of such variations; determining whether the variation and/or the cumulative sum exceed a predetermined threshold value (δ.sub.DE); transmitting a message over the network (15) from the electricity metering device (1) if the variation and/or cumulative sum exceed the predetermined threshold value (δ.sub.DE).
