An energy management system includes a schedule management unit configured to manage a schedule for moving from a first facility to a second facility, and a charging/discharging plan creation unit configured to create a first charging/discharging plan being a charging/discharging plan for a storage battery in each of the first facility and the second facility, in which the charging/discharging plan creation unit is configured to create the first charging/discharging plan with which the storage battery discharges at the first facility while leaving moving power being power for the vehicle to move from the first facility to the second facility.
Situational awareness / situational intelligence system and method for analyzing, monitoring, predicting and controlling electric power systems
A system and method for modeling, controlling and analyzing electrical grids for use by control room operators and automatic control provides a multi-dimensional, multi-layer cellular computational network (CCN) comprising an information layer; a knowledge layer; a decision-making layer; and an action layer; wherein each said layer of said CCN represents one of a variable in an electric power system. Situational awareness/situational intelligence is provided therefrom so that the operators and grid control systems can make the correct decision and take informed actions under difficult circumstances to maintain a high degree of grid integrity and reliability by analyzing multiple variables within a volume of time and space to provide an understanding of their meaning and predict their states in the near future where these multiple variables can have different timescales.
Method and system for power system stabilization using prediction confidence based on high-frequency components of power command value
A power system stabilization method includes: receiving a power command value from a power control center that monitors a power system; transmitting the power command value to a power supply device; causing the power supply device to supply power to the power system according to the power command value; generating a prediction command value according to past power command values received from the power control center, the prediction command value being a prediction value of a power command value to be transmitted from the power control center next after the power command value; transmitting the prediction command value to a power supply device; causing the power supply device to supply power to the power system according to the power prediction command value; receiving the next power command value from the power control center; transmitting the next power command value to the power supply device.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING AN ESTIMATED UTILITY EXPENDITURE
A computer-implemented method for providing an estimated utility expenditure to a user may include: obtaining, via one or more processors, historical transactional data of one or more customers other than the user from one or more transactional entities, wherein the historical transactional data includes: at least one address of a given customer of the one or more customers; and a historical utility expenditure associated with the at least one address; generating, via the one or more processors, a heatmap based on the historical transactional data of the one or more customers via one or more algorithms, wherein the heatmap is indicative of at least the estimated utility expenditure associated with the at least one address during a predetermined period; and causing a display of a user device associated with the user to demonstrate the heatmap.
OPTIMIZATION METHOD OF THE CONSUMPTION OF POWER PRODUCED BY A RENEWABLE SOURCE
A method for optimizing the consumption, by loads, of an electrical power produced by at least one renewable source and at least one non-intermittent source connected to an electricity production and distribution network, the method including a step of determining a time profile of a renewable power produced by the at least one renewable source; a step of determining, among loads connected to the network, constraints on the use of said loads; a step of determining a plan of operation of said loads for maximizing the consumption of the renewable power produced by the at least one renewable source, while respecting said constraints on use, this determination including an evaluation of the consumption of the renewable power under the effect of a time-shift in starting said loads.
STANDALONE ADAPTER FOR LOAD CONTROL OF ENERGY STORAGE DEVICES
A system, method, and apparatus for a standalone, mobile adapter for load control of energy consuming/storage devices. Adapter includes a power management module (“PMM”) that generates a simulated power control signal (“PCS”) with a reduced allowable power consumption, compared to an authentic PCS from electric vehicle service equipment (“EVSE”) power supply. An internally or externally controlled switch coupled to the PMM, selectively replaces the authentic PCS with the simulated PCS and communicates it to the load, thereby reducing the load's ability to draw power. The simulated PCS can be controlled and managed remotely by the user, and/or by an aggregating load server to provide value to the EV consumer, and stability and load-levelling to the power grid. Adapter includes functions of metering/measuring energy, regulation of energy consumption, direction of energy flow, safety monitoring, reporting of energy transfer, and location identification.
CLOUD-BASED CONTROL FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Unique systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses for cloud-based control for power distribution systems are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a system comprising a microprocessor-based power management system in operative communication with a plurality of buildings located remotely from the power management system and a plurality of communication interface devices provided at corresponding ones of the plurality of buildings. The power management system is structured to perform a plurality of building unit-specific optimizations, evaluate a net power demand on the electrical power grid, reduce the net power demand on the electrical power grid while minimizing disruption to the resident-defined preference parameters, and transmit to each of the plurality of interface devices the one or more additional control commands corresponding to the specific building at which each interface device is provided.
Responsive load control method
The responsive load control method manages the allocation and adjustment of service triggering grid frequencies across a population of responsive loads. The responsive load control method is particularly suited to responsive loads that have substantially no duty cycle or which have a long duration (>1 hr) duty cycle. With this responsive load control method provision of the responsive load service is shared fairly amongst the population of contributing responsive loads.
