A method tests the configuration of an aggregated DERs system using distributed asset managers in a decentralized hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) scheme. The managers contain the model of the asset they are meant to control. The method programs an asset manager with a model of a DERs asset. A plurality of asset managers are connected to a central controller. The plurality of asset managers are also connected to a simplified hardware-in-the-loop platform. The simplified HIL platform is configured to solve a network model, a load model, a non-controllable asset model, and a grid model. The method tests the DERs system control structure by using: (a) the simplified HIL platform to solve the network model, the load model, the non-controllable asset model, and the grid model, and (b) the asset manager to solve the model of the DERs asset, without any simulation between the central controller and the distributed asset managers.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING BUILDING ENERGY INFORMATION

The present invention relates to a method and a system for processing building energy information. The method includes the following steps: inputting data of a building information model into building energy simulation software; automatically selecting a building category or manually selecting a building category from a group of building categories provided by the building energy simulation software; in response to the selected building category, inputting a plurality of parameters into a lookup table of the building energy simulation software in accordance with a database of the building energy simulation software; and generating an estimation of a building's energy consumption through a calculation by the building energy simulation software based on the parameters.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING RELIABILITY OF ELECTRICAL POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS

Systems and methods for assessing reliability of electrical power transmission systems are provided. Embodiments disclosed herein use Outage Impact Index (OII), a new reliability indicator, to identify periodic (e.g., annual) system risks in transmission systems of a bulk power system (BPS) for a given voltage class. OII provides key performance indices which can be used by power utilities to quantify and assess transmission system performance, establish baselines from chronological trends, and minimize system risks by developing corrective measures to address any identified system issues.
