A personal care formulation comprises a dermatologically acceptable organic liquid and a cross linked (meth)acrylate copolymer, wherein the organic liquid is thickened by the cross linked (meth)acrylate copolymer, and wherein the cross linked (meth)acrylate copolymer comprises at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate and at least one of the following monomers: a bicyclic (meth)acrylate different from the alkyl (meth)acrylate, and an aromatic vinyl monomer. In one embodiment the formulation can further comprise water and be in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion. In another embodiment the formulation can comprise water and an aqueous thickener and be in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion. The personal care formulation can be a hair care formulation, a skin care formulation, or a sunscreen formulation.

The present invention relates to rinse-off cleansing compositions comprising a surfactant system, in which the surfactant system comprises an alkyl polyglycoside and an acyl glutamate present in specific amounts, for providing compositions that are not only mild on the skin and/or eyes that are stable especially under acidic pH conditions, but also have simpler formulations which have fewer ingredients, good rinse-off property, and preferably more cost effective.

The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for treating and/or cleansing keratinous materials. The compositions comprise at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant, at least one secondary surfactant other than the at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant, at least one glyceryl ester, and a cosmetically acceptable solvent, wherein the at least one carboxylate anionic surfactant and the at least one glyceryl ester are present in a weight ratio ranging from about 0.50 to about 1.00.

The present invention has as its object the provision of an aerosol composition for hair which has excellent deodorization effect and silky feeling and in which a powder hardly floats at an applied area, and an aerosol product for hair. An aerosol composition for hair of the present invention is characterized by comprising: 2 to 7% by mass of an oil absorbing powder having an oil absorption of 0.45 to 0.75 ml/g; 0.1 to 0.6% by mass of a polyol; 3 to 33% by mass of a lower alcohol; and 65 to 94% by mass of a hydrocarbon having 3 to 5 carbon atoms which has a vapor pressure of 0.05 to 0.35 MPa at a temperature of 20° C.; and containing no surfactant. An aerosol product for hair of the present invention is characterized by comprising the aerosol composition for hair filled in an aerosol container which is a pressure-resistant container having an aerosol valve, and in that the discharge amount is 0.3 to 1.2 g/second.

Process for thickening a composition, through the use of a direct emulsion in water, which is alkali-swellable, of a polymer of the ASE or HASE type, which is both rich in acrylic acid and which has a certain quantity of AMPS. The use of such emulsions simultaneously allows there to be no obligation to use surfactants and organic solvents other than water, and allows the thickening phenomenon to be activated for pHs of less than 7: this latter characteristic is particularly advantageous for formulations intended to be used in contact with skin.

The cosmetic composition may be dispensed using a porous applicator and is applied as an on-the-go skin refresher that is especially good for acne-prone skin. The cosmetic composition can be used throughout the day to control shine and minimize skin imperfections and discourage acne and is suitable for use alone or over or under make up.
