Synergistic blend of natural oils with apple cider vinegar for make-up removal
A two-phase cosmetic composition includes an anhydrous phase and an aqueous phase in which the anhydrous and aqueous phases are separated by a single-phase interface. The anhydrous phase includes a plurality of fatty compounds and at least one thickener where the plurality of fatty compounds is present at about 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, and the aqueous phase includes an acetic acid component.
High Shine, Long Wear Color Cosmetic Compositions
High shine single phase color cosmetic compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable as high shine, long wear cosmetics. Compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, hair and nails, particularly as eye shadow, eyeliner, lip products, tattoo products and mascara. Compositions may be formulated as liquid eyeliner, liquid eye shadow, mascara, liquid lip products and tattoo products.
Method for manufacturing an oil-in-water emulsion from an oily active substance, for cosmetic, food, or pharmaceutical use
The invention relates to a method which includes the following steps: mixing hydrophilic components, including water and an emulsifying saponin which is less than 1% of the emulsion regardless of the proportion of the oily phase; mixing lipophilic components, including the oily active substance, which can reach 40% of the emulsion; a first homogenization of the two preceding phases using a rotor/stator or ultrasonic mixer until a mean diameter of less than 6 μm of the oily droplets is obtained; and a second homogenization of the preceding mixture using a high-pressure homogenizer until a mean diameter of less than 0.4 μm of the oily droplets is obtained.
Cosmetic composition
Cosmetic composition for healing and treating the skin, the formula of which consists exclusively of compounds functional for the skin and/or compounds functional both for the skin and also for the structure of the formula.
RINSE-OFF CONDITIONER COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING MICROCAPSULES
Described herein are rinse-off hair conditioner compositions with high deposition properties for cationically coated microcapsules. The compositions contain limited amounts of quaternary ammonium salts that are replaced by at least one non-quaternized conditioning ingredient to provide a high deposition of microcapsules onto a surface.
WATER-RESISTANT COSMETIC COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of an emulsion which is water-resistant due to the use of an emulsifying polymer. This polymer is prepared by polymerization of an anionic monomer and a C.sub.1-C.sub.7 unsaturated carboxylic acid ester. The cosmetic composition according to the invention is free of film-forming agent and surfactant compound. The invention also relates to the preparation and the use of this cosmetic composition.
FILM-FORMING COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING POLYURETHANE AND CROSS-LINKED STARCH
A cosmetic composition comprising, in an aqueous cosmetically acceptable medium: a) from 6% to 50% by weight in active material of at least one aqueous polyurethane dispersion; and b) from 2% to 8% by weight of at least one cross-linked starch, the weight being expressed by weight of the total weight of the composition.
Surfactant-free, water-free formable composition and breakable foams and their uses
A substantially surface active agent-free and foam adjuvant-free composition which includes a hydrophobic solvent, a wax and a propellant. A substantially surface active agent-free and foam adjuvant-free composition, further comprising, a tetracycline antibiotic, or one or more other active agents. A method of treatment, using a substantially surface active agent-free and substantially foam adjuvant-free composition.
METHOD OF INCREASING DURABILITY OF OIL-IN-WATER EMULSION MAKEUP
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to increase durability and suppress irregularities an oil-in-water type emulsion containing an agar microgel. A method for accomplishing this goal comprises dispersing in the makeup 0.5 to 10% by mass of a core-corona microgel. The resulting compositions are highly durable and excellent in feeling in use, and particularly excellent in freshness.
Petrolatum-based delivery systems and for active ingredients
The present disclosure is broadly concerned with petrolatum-based compositions as a suspension matrix for the active ingredients. The disclosure is also concerned with processes for forming stable emulsions of active ingredients in petrolatum.
