Petrolatum-based delivery systems and for active ingredients
The present disclosure is broadly concerned with petrolatum-based compositions as a suspension matrix for the active ingredients. The disclosure is also concerned with processes for forming stable emulsions of active ingredients in petrolatum.
Pet care cleansing composition
A method of treating the skin or hair on a dog containing an effective amount of an ectoparasiticide previously applied to the skin or hair, comprising applying a quantity of a cleansing composition directly to the skin or hair, wherein the treatment does not result in reducing the efficacy of the ectoparasiticide against adult fleas (C. felis) or adult ticks (R. sanguineus) below 90% efficacy for at least a month after application of the ectoparasiticide; wherein the cleansing composition comprises about 1-3% glycerin; about 2-4% silicone copolyol esters, water and is essentially free of surfactant.
SPRAYABLE HIGH VISCOSITY COSMETIC FORMULATION
The invention relates to an anhydrous cosmetic or dermatological formulation comprising a viscose lipid-containing preparation and propellant gas consisting essentially of one or more substances selected from hydrofluorocarbons, n-butane, isobutane and propane. The formulation permits application to the skin by spraying of an otherwise nonsprayable preparation. The formulation is free from readily volatile solvents, surfactants, and preferably free from silicones.
Petrolatum-based compositions comprising cationic biocides
The disclosure provides stable formulations of cationic biocides that are primarily used in the treatment and prevention of infections. The disclosure is also concerned with processes for forming stable emulsions of cationic biocides and petrolatum.
Methods for Accelerated Return of Skin Integrity and for the Treatment of Impetigo
Methods of treatment and dosage regimes using hydrophobic gel or foam compositions comprising a tetracycline antibiotic for accelerating the return of skin integrity and or in treating or alleviating a disorder including impetigo, acne, rosacea, a skin disease caused by a bacteria or a tetracycline antibiotic responsive disease, wherein the foam composition or gel is administered topically to a target area on a subject having the disorder and wherein the target area comprises an area of skin, or mucosa or an eye.
Self-Tanning Compositions
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising DHA in combination with defined amounts of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. When applied topically, these compositions have much less malodor that known DHA-containing products while providing a tan with even coloration that is more natural looking than many DHA-induced self-tans. Compositions according to the invention dry quickly after application to an anhydrous state, resist transfer through incidental contact, and exhibit long-wear. Compositions according to the invention are easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature.
VEGAN SEMI-SOLID COSMETIC COMPOSITION
A vegan anhydrous semi-solid composition may be provided, that includes at least 30% by weight of an organic solvent, a rheology modifier system, 5-15% by weight of waxes, and a particulate. The rheology modify system includes disteardimonium hectorite and silica silylate, where there is a ratio R1 of a percent by weight of disteardimonium hectorite to silica silylate that is 2.1<RI<6. The waxes include a hard wax and a soft wax. The particulate includes a pigment, a pearlescent agent, a filler, or a combination thereof.
LEAVE-ON TYPE COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR FACIAL MASK SHEET HAVING SELF-FOAMING FUNCTION
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for a leave-on type mask sheet including a fluorinated compound and saponin as a self-foaming agent. The cosmetic composition for a leave-on type mask sheet includes a fluorinated compound and saponin as a self-foaming agent, and thus can provide a cleansing effect, such as an effect of removing sebum or waste. In addition, since the cosmetic composition includes saponin instead of a chemical surfactant, it can reduce side effects, such as skin irritation, alleviate inconvenience of washing-off after using the mask sheet, and improve a moisturizing effect by virtue of elimination of the washing-off procedure.
Oral Care Composition
An oral care composition, including a peroxide source, a peroxysulfate whitening agent, a hydrophobic base, and sodium tripolyphosphate.
Topical pharmaceutical formulations containing a low concentration of benzoyl peroxide in suspension in water and a water-miscible organic solvent
An aqueous formulation for topical application to the skin comprising water, a water-miscible organic solvent, and benzoyl peroxide, wherein the concentration of the organic solvent is sufficient to provide a stable suspension of benzoyl peroxide in the aqueous formulation without the inclusion of a surfactant in the formulation, wherein the ratio of concentrations of water and organic solvent in the formulation is sufficient to maintain the benzoyl peroxide in saturated solubility in the formulation following application to the skin, and wherein the concentration of benzoyl peroxide in the formulation is less than 5.0% and at least 1.0% w/w. The formulation may further contain a chemical compound in addition to benzoyl peroxide that is effective in the treatment of acne. The aqueous formulations of the invention are useful in the treatment of acne and acne rosacea.
