POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, POWER CONVERSION DEVICE AND POWER MANAGEMENT METHOD
A management system includes a first receiver receiving, at a predetermined time interval, a reference value of a reference power meter, a second receiver receiving, at an interval shorter than the time interval, a first measurement value of a first power meter closer to a power system than a merging point of a power line connected to a distributed power supply and a power line connected to a load device, a third receiver receiving, at an interval shorter than the time interval, a second measurement value of a second power meter for measuring power consumption of the load device, and a controller executing a first calibration process related to the first power meter based on a comparison between the reference value and the first measurement value and subsequently executing a second calibration process related to the second power meter based on the first measurement value and the second measurement value.
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ISLANDING ELECTRICITY GENERATION UNIT
A method, an apparatus, and a system for monitoring an islanding electricity generation unit are provided. The method includes determining an islanding electricity generation unit in a renewable energy station on the basis of collected electrical capacity at critical electrical nodes of the renewable energy station, and controlling a switch device corresponding to the determined islanding electricity generation unit to sever connection between the electricity generation unit and a collector line. The critical electrical nodes include nodes that have a collecting effect on grid-connected current of the electricity generation units of the renewable energy station, and each collector line being constructed to collect grid-connected current from at least one electricity generation unit and input same into a main transformer of the renewable energy station.
ENERGY TIME-SHIFTING USING AQUIFERS
In an energy time-shifting process, an electrical grid is monitored. Based on monitoring the electrical grid, it is determined that one or more criteria are satisfied at a first time. In response to determining that the one or more criteria are satisfied at the first time, water is directed from an aquifer located at a first elevation to a reservoir located at a second elevation. The first elevation is lower than the second elevation. Subsequent to directing the water from the aquifer to the reservoir, water is directed from the reservoir to a turbine generator located at a third elevation. The third elevation is lower than the second elevation and higher than the first elevation. Electrical power is generated using the turbine generated based on the water flowing through the turbine generator. Water is directed from the turbine generator into the aquifer.
CONTROLLING POWER TO A LOAD BASED ON SENSED ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Electrical load controllers and methods for controlling conduction of electrical power to loads are provided that include determination of a baseline value based on a dynamic collection of past value(s), determination of a threshold humidity value as a function of a baseline humidity value and a second humidity value greater than the baseline humidity value and/or based on a received ambient light value, and/or determination of whether to transition a switching circuit to an ON state based on a current humidity value, other sensed environmental condition, baseline humidity value, and/or a threshold value.
Intelligent electronic device control using wirelessly transmitted multi-phase electrical measurements
Systems, methods, and devices are provided for controlling part of an electric power distribution system using an intelligent electronic device that may rely on communication from wireless electrical measurement devices. Wireless electrical measurement devices associated with different phases of power on an electric power distribution system may send wireless messages containing electrical measurements for respective phases to an intelligent electronic device. When wireless communication with one of the wireless electrical measurement devices becomes inconsistent or lost, the intelligent electronic device may synthesize the electrical measurements of the missing phase using electrical measurements of remaining phases. The intelligent electronic device may use the synthesized electrical measurements to control part of the electric power distribution system.
Server and power management system
A power management system includes a plurality of power storages and a server. The server includes a selector that selects at least one of the plurality of power storages, a scheduler that makes a schedule for the selected power storage, and a request processor that requests a user of the selected power storage to promote external charging, suppress external charging, or carry out external power feed in accordance with the made schedule. The server obtains power run-out information that indicates power run-out risk for each power storage and carries out at least one of selection of the power storage and making of the schedule in accordance with a type of a request based on the obtained power run-out information.
Systems and methods for phase identification using relative phase angle measurements
Systems for determining a phase of a device coupled to an electrical distribution system. The system includes a number of gateway devices configured to transmit a synchronization signal. The gateway device receives a node response message from a first node device that includes a duration value indicating a time between a receipt of the transmitted synchronization signal and a detected zero crossing. The gateway device compares the duration value against duration values received from node devices with a known phase connection and determines a phase of the first node device based on the comparison.
Power management at a wellsite
Apparatus and methods for managing power at a wellsite. An example apparatus may include a well construction equipment operable to construct a well at the wellsite, a power supply system operable to output electrical power to the well construction equipment to facilitate operation of the well construction equipment, and a control system for controlling the well construction system. The control system may be operable to store a digital drilling program and cause the well construction equipment to perform planned well construction operations based on the digital drilling program. The digital drilling program may include an equipment operational plan indicative of the planned well construction operations to be performed by the well construction equipment to construct the well, and an electrical power plan indicative of a planned electrical power demand of the well construction equipment to perform the planned well construction operations.
DEVICE ENERGY USE DETERMINATION
A device that runs on solar and battery power determines a current cycle energy budget by looking at a previous cycle or cycles energy accumulation and previous cycle or cycles unexpected expenses. The energy budget will then be the energy accumulation minus the unexpected expenses, normalized for cycle length. Based on the energy budget, an operating mode is chosen. The operating mode determines how often certain actions are taken. The device then runs for a cycle length based of the operating mode.
Power management for network device line modules
A line module for use in a network device a plurality of circuits; and a power module comprising at least one circuit, wherein the power module is connected to the plurality of circuits and a Power Distribution Unit (PDU), and the at least one circuit of the power module is configured to shut down one or more of the plurality of circuits until a current threshold is no longer exceeded by a current drawn from a power feed connected to the first PDU.
