Composition for reducing the time needed to dry wet hair
A composition and method for reducing the drying time of wet hair by about 20 to about 30 percent includes applying a silicone-free, non-aqueous composition comprising about 90 to about 96 percent by weight of a volatile hydrocarbon mixture comprising C13-C16 isoparaffin, C12-C14 isoparaffin; and C13-C15 alkane; about 2 to about 3 percent by weight of ppg-3 benzyl ether myristate; about 0.001 to about 0.01 percent by weight of a sodium laneth 40-maleate/styrene sulfonate copolymer; and about 0.01 to about 0.5 percent by weight of an emollient mixture comprising isostearic acid, sorbitan oleate, cocoyl hydrolyzed keratin and heat to wet hair, thereby removing from about 85% to about 100% of water added to the hair during washing.
Reflective skin-spread composition
A reflective skin-spread composition is provided. The composition comprises 80 to 90 w/w % reflective glass microspheres, and 10 to 20 w/w % carrier medium. The reflective glass microspheres have an average diameter of 30 to 80 microns. The carrier medium comprises an emollient ester, a plant emollient, a binder/stabilizer, and a water-resistant film-forming agent. The composition comprises the emollient ester at 3 to 6 w/w %, the plant emollient at 2 to 5 w/w %, the binder/stabilizer at 3 to 6 w/w %, and the water-resistant film-forming agent at 1 to 4 w/w %. An applicator for applying the composition to a surface also is provided. A method of enhancing visibility of a person comprising a step of applying the composition to an exposed skin surface of the person also is provided.
CONCENTRATED RINSE-OFF CLEANSING COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to a concentrated rinse-off cleansing composition that includes a high concentration of surfactants and conditioning agent(s). For example, the cleansing compositions may include: (a) surfactants system comprising: (i) one or more anionic surfactants selected from: (i-a) alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, salts thereof, or a mixture thereof; and (i-b) optionally, one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactants; (ii) one or more alkyl polyglucosides; and (iii) one or more amphoteric surfactants; (b) one or more conditioning agents; and (c) water.
The cleansing compositions are particularly useful for cleansing hair.
NON-SULFATE CONCENTRATED RINSE-OFF CLEANSING COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to a concentrated rinse-off cleansing composition that includes a high concentration of surfactants and conditioning agent(s). The cleansing compositions include: (a) a surfactant system comprising: (i) one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactants; (ii) one or more alkyl polyglucosides; and (iii) one or more amphoteric surfactants; (b) one or more conditioning agents; and (c) water. The cleansing compositions are particularly useful for cleansing hair.
ANTIBACTERIAL PARTICLES AND METHODS
Compositions and methods include an antibacterial particle comprising a cationically charged polymer and a salt.
ANTI-DANDRUFF CLEANSING COMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to an anti-dandruff cleansing composition comprising: (a) salicylic acid; (b) a surfactant system comprising: (i) one or more non-sulfate anionic surfactants; (ii) one or more amphoteric surfactants; (iii) at least 10 wt. % of a plurality of nonionic surfactants comprising: (iii-a) one or more alkyl polyglucosides; and (iii-b) one or more amide surfactants; and (c) water; wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the cleansing composition. The anti-dandruff cleansing compositions effectively treat dandruff and provide good cleansing and other desirable performance properties.
Therefore, the compositions are particularly useful in methods for treating dandruff, for cleansing hair, and for providing a variety of other cosmetic benefits to the hair.
A HAIR CONDITIONING COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a hair conditioning composition that exhibits high stability and transparency to give a smooth, grit free flow with no compromise on the desired sensorials when in use. This is achieved in a substantially silicone free composition with a judicious mix of cationic surfactant, selective antidandruff agent and octyldocecanol.
Hair conditioning composition with antimicrobial system
A hair conditioner composition comprising: a) a fatty acid; b) a fatty alcohol; and c) an antimicrobial system comprising: i) glyceryl caprylate; and ii) one or more of 4-hydroxyacetophenone and pentylene glycol.
Hair conditioner compositions containing behenamidopropyl dimethylamine
A hair conditioner composition containing an aqueous carrier, from about 2.5 wt % to about 6.7 wt % of a behenamidopropyl dimethylamine, from about 3 wt % to about 8 wt % of a fatty alcohol; and less than 1.5 wt % of a salt. The molar ratio of behenamidopropyl dimethylamine to fatty alcohol can be from about 7:50 to about 4:5. The conditioner composition can have a uniform gel network. The composition can have d-spacing of less than 32 nm, as measured according to the d-spacing (L?-basal spacing) of Lamella Gel Network Test Method.
