Furthermore, the present invention refers to a composition comprising said Pickering emulsions and a method of preparing such Pickering emulsions. The present invention also refers to the use of calcium carbonate particles as Pickering pigments for stabilizing Pickering emulsions comprising water and 10 to 50 wt.-% oil, based on the total weight of the Pickering emulsion, wherein the calcium carbonate particles are selected from surface-reacted calcium carbonate (SRCC) or mixtures of ground calcium carbonate (GCC) and surface-reacted calcium carbonate (SRCC) and have a volume median particle size d.sub.50 value from 0.2 .Math.m to 10 .Math.m.
SURFACE-MODIFIED ZINC OXIDE PARTICLES, LIQUID DISPERSION, AND COSMETIC
Surface-modified zinc oxide particles which have a silane coupling agent having an alkoxy group on surfaces thereof, in which d50 when measured with a laser diffraction/scattering type particle size distribution-measuring instrument by the following measurement method is 4 μm or less. (Measurement method) 10 g of the surface-modified zinc oxide particles, 88 g of cyclopentasiloxane, and 2 g of polyglyceryl-3 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone are mixed to obtain a liquid mixture, a dispersion treatment is performed on the obtained liquid mixture at 9,500 rpm for 5 minutes using a homogenizer to obtain a liquid dispersion, the liquid dispersion is diluted with cyclopentasiloxane so that a content of the surface-modified zinc oxide particles in the obtained liquid dispersion is 0.01% by mass to produce a measurement solution, and d50 is measured with the laser diffraction/scattering type particle size distribution-measuring instrument using the obtained measurement solution.
SKIN EXTERNAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING CROSSLINKED HYALURONIC ACID GEL
The disclosure describes an oil-in-water composition for skin external application using a gel of crosslinked hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof and having a sherbet-like texture and feeling of use. The composition of the disclosure comprises the gel particles of crosslinked hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof and emulsion particle having a specific particle size distribution of D(0.5) in an aqueous phase and an oil phase, respectively, so that the composition has a particulate feeling such as sherbet, mashed potato or meringue while having a fluffy appearance or texture, and also provides a refreshing feeling of use when applied, and is easy to clean by comprising the aqueous phase as an outer phase.
