Mapping and monitoring of electrical connections between circuit breakers and loads

Techniques for monitoring statuses of electrical connections are described. In an example, an identifier of a circuit breaker is received. A determination may be made that the circuit breaker is in an on state based on the identifier of the circuit breaker being received. Further, an identifier of a load connected to the circuit breaker over a power cable is received. The identifier of the load is transmitted over the power cable. A determination may be made that the load is connected to the circuit breaker based on the identifier of the load being received. The identifier of the circuit breaker, the identifier of the load, and electrical connection statuses of the circuit breaker and the load may be provided over an interface.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR A CHARGING NETWORK OF MOBILE POWER TRANSMITTERS
20190381910 · 2019-12-19 ·

A decentralized charging network of mobile power transmitters comprises a server, power receivers, and a fleet of deployable mobile power transmitters comprising a control system, a power source system having a charge measuring device for monitoring the charge transfer, a charging system configured to transfer charge from the power source system to the power receiver, and a communication system for communication between a power receiver, a server, and the control system. A charging request is received and processed by a server from a power receiver or an operator preparing to charge a power receiver. A qualified mobile power transmitter is identified and instructed to arrive at a location and to charge a power receiver according to charging instructions prepared by the server. The charging is monitored and, upon completion, the mobile power transmitter deactivates the charging session and informs the server.

Provided is an electronic device configured to charge at least one charging service use device and an operating method thereof. An embodiment of the present disclosure provides an electronic device configured to receive charging state information including at least one of device identification information, charging specifications, a current remaining battery capacity, and an expected discharge time from at least one charging service use device, generate a charging schedule for charging the at least one charging service use device based on a remaining capacity of a built-in battery and the received charging state information, move to a location of a charging target device determined based on the charging schedule, and supply power stored in the built-in battery to the charging target device by connecting to a charging terminal of the charging target device to charge the charging target device.

Identification and selection of the source of electric power

Information indicating a source of electric current can be transmitted alongside or within the electric current itself, enabling downstream recipients to identify a source of their electricity. The information may be embedded directly into the electric current, such as by adding a modulated carrier signal to an alternating current before transmitting the current to a downstream recipient.

Discovering upgrade to increase capacity for supporting electrical load at particular location of power grid

A system can obtain data that is sourced from an operator of a power grid and includes data items provided on a per-segment basis for feeders. The system can branch the data items into respective feeder groups and generate an ordered data structure based on an adjacency map for segments of a feeder group. The system can construct a feeder load profile based for a feeder on the ordered data structure. The feeder load profile depicts a load capacity for the feeder as a function of a distance from the substation. The system can then determine, based on the feeder load profile, that an available load capacity at the interconnection point is below a threshold required to support an electric vehicle (EV) charging station and identify upgrades based on variations in the feeder load profile to support the EV charging station.
