Method for indicating time for washing or indicating delivery of antibacterial agent
A method for indicating release of an antibacterial agent or for indicating an amount of time for cleansing skin with an aqueous cleansing composition comprising a surfactant and a zinc X halide complex, wherein X is an amino acid or trimethylglycine, wherein the method comprises washing skin with the cleansing composition and water for a time until the zinc X halide complex precipitates from the aqueous cleansing composition.
DEVICE AND RELATED COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR USE IN SURFACE DECONTAMINATION
Devices are provided for applying an indicator composition and, optionally, a disinfectant composition to an article being dispensed through the device. The device includes a housing at least partially surrounding an interior volume and having a wall defining a dispensing aperture extending through the wall, a reservoir having at least one chamber sized to contain an indicator composition, and an application mechanism positioned within the housing relative to the dispensing aperture. The reservoir optionally has a second chamber sized to contain a disinfectant composition. The application mechanism is configured to be in fluid communication with the reservoir to apply an amount of the indicator composition and the optional disinfectant composition from the reservoir to an article dispensed through the dispensing aperture. Related compositions, articles, and methods are provided.
DEVICE FOR SEPARATELY DISPENSING MATERIALS FOR USE TOGETHER ON HUMAN SKIN
Methods and devices are provided for containing and separately dispensing a sunscreen and a UV indicator for use with the sunscreen to indicate effectiveness thereof. A flexible tube or container defines a primary chamber containing sunscreen therein and has a double flip-top cap mounted thereon. The double flip-top cap comprises a base mounted to the flexible tube and via which the sunscreen is dispensed. A middle section of the cap is hinged to the base and provides access to the primary chamber. A top section of the cap is hinged to the middle section. The middle section and top section cooperate to define a secondary chamber containing the UV indicator, with the top section providing access to the secondary chamber. The secondary chamber can contain a pre-inked stamp, or a stamp and ink pad impregnated with the UV indicator. The UV indicator is applied to one or more small regions of the skin under the sunscreen, and changes color to indicate effectiveness of the sunscreen.
Oral care gel dispenser systems
The invention provides an oral care system comprising a gel in a pen dispenser, the dispenser comprising a chamber which permits dispensing of a measured amount of the gel, wherein the gel exhibits a Herschel-Bulkley yield stress of 10 to 230 dynes/cm2, a Herschel-Bulkley viscosity of 3 to 500 poise, and a Herschel-Bulkley rate index of 0.4 to 0.6, the specific viscosity permitting efficient application of the gel, as well as methods of using the same.
COSMETIC AND DERMATOLOGICAL COMPOSITIONS
Cosmetic and dermatological compositions, including color changing compositions, are provided which typically include a plurality of synthetic particles having a size in the micrometer or nanometer range. Each synthetic particle typically includes one or more aggregates of a pigment selected from phenoxazone, phenoxazine, and a derivate or precursor thereof, and a stabilizing material which has a refractive index larger than 1.45; the aggregates having a size larger than about 100 nm and the composition being biodegradable and biocompatible.
Hygiene Compliance Method, Use and System
The present specification discloses methods of monitoring hygiene compliance, hygiene monitoring systems and methods and uses of such systems.
Teeth Whitening Methods, Visually Perceptible Signals And Compositions Therefor
Described herein are methods of cleaning a tooth comprising administering a composition comprising a zinc amino acid halide complex to the oral cavity; and retaining the composition in the oral cavity for a time sufficient to form a precipitate.
Non-Mutagenic Photochromic Dye
A method of solubilizing a composition, such as an organic manufactured photochromic dye that is free of carcinogens, non-mutagenic, non-toxic to human skin in any concentration, and suitable for application to, and absorbable by, human skin. The photochromic dye is suitable to be applied directly to human skin, and which dye is configured to indicate exposure to UV rays. The composition is configured to change color upon exposure to UVA, UVB and/or UVC rays. The composition can be used with other compositions, such as sunscreen, and be applied to human skin prior to application of the sunscreen, or, formulated with the sunscreen such that when the active ingredients of the sunscreen diminish, the photochromic dye will change color to generate a visual indicator of this condition.
Color-Changing Sanitizing Compositions and Methods of Use
A sanitizing composition is provided. The sanitizing composition includes including 0.1 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of one or more antimicrobial, antifungal, and/or antiviral agents and 0.001 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of one or more volatile acids or volatile bases. The sanitizing composition includes 0.0001 wt. % to about 5 wt. % of one or more pH indicators having a color transition pH ranging from about 2 to about 6.5 or a pH indicator having a color transition ranging from about 7.5 to about 12. The sanitizing composition includes 80 wt. % to about 98 wt. % of one or more volatile solvents. Optionally, the sanitizing composition includes one or more additives. Porous, flexible, substrates pre-saturated with the sanitizing composition and methods of use are also provided.
