STATOR AND METHOD OF FABRICATING A STATOR

A method of fabricating a stator and a stator where the method includes providing a plurality of electromagnet cores, with each electromagnet core having a stack of laminations defining a tooth and a yoke segment. The yoke segment is defined by a stack of laminations having a tongue structure and an opposing groove structure. Representative methods also include providing an insulating bobbin surrounding a portion of the tooth of each lamination, such that each lamination is held against adjacent laminations by the bobbin. The method further includes the step of winding electrically conductive windings around a portion of the bobbin, and assembling the plurality of electromagnets into a stator by mating the tongue structure and the groove structure of each electromagnet with a corresponding tongue structure and a corresponding groove structure of adjacent electromagnets. Additional embodiments includes a stator having the above characteristics.

Solvent-free varnish composition, insulated coil, process for producing same, rotating machine, and closed electric compressor

The present invention provides a solvent-free varnish composition, including: a thermosetting resin (A) having two or more (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule thereof; a thermosetting resin (B) having one or more epoxy groups in a molecule thereof; a monofunctional vinyl-based monomer having an ether bond or an ester bond; an organic peroxide having a 10-hour half-life temperature of 40° C. or more; and a curing catalyst for an epoxy resin, in which a mixed resin of the thermosetting resin (A) and the thermosetting resin (B) has an epoxy equivalent of from 500 to 5,000. The solvent-free varnish composition can be used as an insulating varnish that shows a small energy loss and requires a short curing time in its curing treatment step, and that provides a cured product that barely causes the precipitation of an oligomer or the like even when exposed to a refrigerant-based environment containing a refrigerant and a refrigerating machine oil under high temperature and high pressure.

ELECTRIC MACHINE COOLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

An electric machine including a rotor shaft having an inner shaft core with a first composition and an outer shaft portion surrounding at least some of the inner shaft core. The outer shaft portion is fabricated from a material having a different composition than the inner shaft core. For example, the inner shaft core could be fabricated from a material having high thermal conductivity, such as copper, while the outer shaft portion is fabricated from a material with lesser thermal conductivity, but greater strength, for example steel. The two-material shaft with a highly thermally conductive core serves to conduct heat from the interior of the electric machine to the housing, or to an exterior apparatus or structure.

A ferromagnetic lamination, a magnetic conductive member of an electrical machine, an electrical machine having the magnetic conductive member of the electrical machine, a winding structure of an electrical machine, an electrical machine having the winding structure of the electrical machine, and an electric energy and magnetic energy conversion device are provided. The magnetic conductive member of the electrical machine includes winding slots, and multiple cavities are formed on an inner wall of each of the winding slots. With the magnetic conductive member of the electrical machine, a liquid insulating medium can be effectively retained and fixed by means of a cavity structure when an insulating treatment is performed on the magnetic conductive member of the electrical machine, and a rooted intermediate elastic base is formed at a ferromagnetic boundary after the liquid insulating medium is solidified, thereby effectively preventing the insulating medium from peeling, splitting or falling off.
