Photostabilizing compounds, compositions, and methods
Heterocyclic compounds are provided. In particular, the heteroatom of the heterocyclic compound may be nitrogen. The heterocyclic compounds may demonstrate capacity of stabilizing photoactive compounds. Topical compositions comprising these heterocyclic compounds are also provided. In particular, these topical compositions further comprise photoactive compounds. Methods for stabilizing photoactive compounds are also provided. These methods comprise mixing the photoactive compounds with photostabilizing heterocyclic compounds.
Cosmetic composition and its use, dermocosmetic formulation
The present invention relates to dermocosmetic formulations for use in combating skin aging, especially photoaging. The present invention promotes the increase of the synthesis of collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans (GAG), in addition to significantly increase the activity of the superoxide dismutase enzyme (SOD) and the cell proliferation.
NOVEL SKIN CARE COMPOSITION
The present invention generally relates to the field of skin care. More particularly, the invention relates to a cosmetic or therapeutic skin care composition comprising live bacteria of at least one Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) strain in combination with an emollient that specifically supports their viability during storage and/or their ability to replicate after application to the skin. Preferably, the cosmetic or therapeutic skin care composition comprises bacteria of at least one C. acnes strain selected from the group consisting of D1, A5, C1, C3, H1, H2, H3, K1, K2, K4, K6, K8, K9, L1, and F4. The invention also provides a method for treating or preventing acne by applying the skin care composition of the invention to a skin area in need of treatment. The invention also relates to the use of a skin care composition of the invention for treating or preventing acne.
Methods for Improving Barrier Integrity of Gingival Tissue
Described herein are methods for improving or maintaining the barrier integrity of gingival tissue comprising administering an oral care composition comprising a curcurninoid, to the oral cavity of a subject in need thereof.
Marine extract compositions and methods of use
Compositions comprising extracts from marine organisms show beneficial effects on skin ailments. Fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging in skin are improved with the application of compositions with marine extracts. Production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are increased after application of the compositions.
YEAST STRAIN PRODUCING GLUTATHIONE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING GLUTATHIONE USING THE SAME
Provided are a novel yeast strain producing glutathione and a method of producing glutathione using the same.
SKIN CARE FORMULATION WITH LIPOPHILIC PEPTIDES
A novel cosmetic skin care composition is provided which comprises a solubilized lipophilic peptide, preferably palmitoyl peptide, preferably palmitoyl-GHK-Cu, at a concentration in the range of 0.2-1.1%, the formulation being substantially free of alcohols or preservatives. A method of formulating the composition is also provided to provide a high concentration of the peptide in the final composition.
Cosmetic composition comprising fermented product of Nuruk
Provided is a cosmetic composition comprising a fermented product of Nuruk, and particularly, a cosmetic composition that can promote collagen synthesis in skin fibroblasts, have antioxidant effects and moisturizing effects, and prevent aging, comprising a fermented product of Nuruk obtained by fermenting grain with yeast mold (Aspergillus), as an active ingredient.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING VITAMIN C
A cosmetic composition including (a) from about 2 to about 20 wt. % of ascorbic acid; (b) di-t-butyl pentaerythrityl tetrahydroxycinnamate; (c) hydroxyacetophenone; and (d) a chelating agent; and wherein the cosmetic composition is an oil-in-water emulsion, and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. Methods for treating damaged skin with cosmetic compositions are also disclosed herein.
Hair care composition
This invention relates to a hair care composition more particularly to a wash-off composition, especially preferred being a shampoo or a conditioner, which provides the desired anti-dandruff efficacy with enhanced stability of the active materials on hair/scalp during use. This is achieved through a judicious combination of an organic UV filter, a zinc compound and selective anti-dandruff agent. The composition comprises 0.01 to 3% by weight zinc pyrithione, an organic UV filter and 0.1 to 5% by weight additional zinc compound. The weight ratio of zinc compound to zinc pyrithione is over 3:1.
