Stable cosmetic ink composition

A cosmetic ink composition comprises a particulate material, a (meth)acrylic acid homopolymer or salt thereof, and a rheology modifier. The particulate material can have a Particle Size Distribution D50 of about 100 nm to about 2,000 nm. The (meth)acrylic acid homopolymer or salt thereof can have a weight average molecular weight of less than about 20,000 daltons. The rheology modifier can be selected from the group consisting of alkali swellable emulsion polymers, hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsion polymers, and combinations thereof. The cosmetic ink composition can have a first dynamic viscosity of greater than about 1,100 cP at a shear rate of 0.1 sec.sup.1 measured at 25 C. and a second dynamic viscosity of less than about 100 cP at a shear rate of 1,000 sec.sup.1 measured at 25 C.

ORAL CARE PARTICLES AND SYSTEM FOR THE ADMINISTRATION THEREOF

Disclosed is a system and method for the delivery, into interdental spaces, of oral care active agents contained in particles. The particles are made of one or more superabsorbent polymers (SAP), and are of size generally small enough to be easily applied into an interdental space. To this end, the particles typically have a length of below 1.5 mm. By virtue of the SAP's ability of absorbing several times its own weight in water, the particles will swell once in contact with saliva. As a result, the volume of the particles as applied in between teeth increases by at least eight times, thereby effectively making the particles larger than the average interdental gap size. The particles, once swollen, are thus held more firmly between the walls of the interdental space, thus preventing them from being easily washed away.

The present invention is directed to a personal care composition comprising from about 12% to about 25% of one or more surfactants; from about 0.01% to 10% of one or more soluble scalp health active; from about 0.1% to about 4% of a thickening polymer wherein the thickening polymer is selected from the group consisting of homopolymers based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or other related derivatives, alkali swellable and hydrophobically-modified alkali swellable acrylic copolymers or methacrylate copolymers, soluble crosslinked acrylic polymers, associative polymeric thickeners and mixtures thereof; from 0.01% to 0.8% of a cationic polymer; wherein the personal care composition has a pH of about 4.5 to about 6 and wherein the personal care composition has a Haze value less than or equal to 25.

Heterogenous cosmetic ink composition for inkjet printing applications

A cosmetic ink composition comprises a particulate material, a polymeric dispersant having a weight average molecular weight of less than about 20,000 daltons, and a polymeric rheology modifier. The particulate material can have a Particle Size Distribution D50 of about 100 nm to about 2,000 nm. The cosmetic ink composition can undergo controlled syneresis, forming a weak colloidal gel phase and a particle-lean, low viscosity phase, which can be printed without interventions such as agitation, mixing, or re-circulation to homogenize the composition.
