A hair treatment composition comprising: a) a conditioning base comprising: i) a cationic conditioning surfactant having from 16 to 32 carbon atoms; ii) a fatty alcohol having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms; and b) from 0.1 to 10 wt % of a microcapsule in which a core comprising benefit agent is encapsulated in a polymeric shell; and (c) from 0.1 to 5 wt % of a diesterquat, provides improved deposition of microcapsules and delivery of benefit agent to hair surfaces.

An oil-in-water cosmetic composed of an aqueous phase and an oil phase and comprising hydrophobized inorganic powder, a fatty acid soap, a nonionic surfactant and a hydrophilic polymer, including an oil that contains a non-silicone oil and including hydrophobized iron oxide powder and hydrophobized pigment-grade titanium oxide powder in the oil phase and the aqueous phase, wherein the contents of the hydrophobized pigment-grade titanium oxide powder in the oil phase and in the aqueous phase are, respectively, greater than 0.5 mass % and less than 5 mass %, and greater than 2.5 mass % and less than 20 mass %, the nonionic surfactant has an overall HLB value of 6 to 15, an aminoalkylsulfonic acid polymer is contained as a hydrophilic polymer, and the total non-silicone oil content is greater than 5 mass % and less than 30 mass %.

The present invention relates to isopropylparabene free topical compositions comprising a specific polyester and at least one liquid UVB-filter oil. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of such polyesters to reduce the transfer of oils to surfaces as well as to lessen the overall stickiness of such compositions.

The present invention relates generally to methods of use and compositions useful to reduce dark spots, age spots, and/or unwanted pigmentation of skin. The composition includes a combination of niacinamide, phytic acid, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract, Chondrus crispus extract, and a combination of Saxifraga sarmentosa extract, Carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, and Psidium guajava (guava) fruit extract. The composition is effective to reduce dark spots, age spots, and/or unwanted pigmentation of skin. Also provided are methods for the formulation, manufacture and use of the disclosed formulations.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to hair treatment compositions including about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a cationic surfactant; about 0.1 to about 10 wt. % of a fatty acid having a carbon chain of 12 or more carbons; about 0.1 to about 20 wt. % of a fatty alcohol; and about 50 wt. % or more of water, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the hair treatment composition. Additionally, the hair treatment compositions are formulated to have a molar ratio of the total amount of cationic surfactant to the total amount of fatty acid is about 1:0.8 to about 1:3 and a pH of about 2.5 to about 5.5. The disclosure also relates to methods for applying such hair treatment compositions.
