Electric machine

The electric machine comprises a rotor, a stator surrounding the rotor and a support structure. The stator has a longitudinal center axis and is supported on the support structure with support elements. The stator comprises a cylindrical stator core having a laminated structure and slots for a stator winding and a stator frame surrounding the stator core. The stator frame comprises two opposite end constructions and at least one frame plate located between the end constructions. A support element is located between each end construction and the adjacent frame plate and between adjacent frame plates. The support element is made of cast iron and attached to the end constructions, the frame plate and the support structure with fastening means based on a compression joint, whereby the stator frame becomes attached to the support structure via the support elements.

A stator assembly includes a stator frame structure having an outer annular frame with an outer edge running around a center axis; a plurality of stator segments mounted at the outer edge along a circumferential direction of the outer edge, each stator segment comprising at least one electric coil; and a wiring arrangement electrically connecting the stator segments with an electric power interface. The wiring arrangement comprises a plurality of wiring assemblies, each wiring assembly electrically connecting one of the plurality of stator segments with the power interface is provided. Each wiring assembly is routed along and next to the outer annular frame and comprises electric cables connected in between the electric interface and the respective stator segment, wherein the electric cables are provided with electric insulation structures each surrounding one of the electric cables. Further described is an electric generator and a wind turbine with such a stator assembly.

An electronic package adapted for connection to a rear frame member of an electric machine. The electronic package includes a cooling tower having first and second axial ends. The cooling tower includes a metallic wall defining radially inner and outer wall surfaces and extending about the package central axis. The radially inner wall surface defines an axially extending air passage through the cooling tower with an inlet proximate the first axial end. Spaced metallic ribs are in conductive thermal communication with the radially inner wall surface traverse and the air passage. Power electronics devices are attached in conductive thermal communication to the radially outer wall surface. The cooling tower provides a heat sink for the power electronics devices with a primary cooling path for each of the power electronics device extending radially inwardly to the cooling tower. An electric machine including such an electronic package is also disclosed.

LINEAR MOTOR FOR A TRANSPORT SYSTEM

A linear motor for a transport system, in particular for a multi-carrier system, has a yoke comprising a plurality of teeth arranged after one another and a plurality of drive coils arranged at the teeth. The drive coils are configured to cooperate with drive magnets of a transport element to bring about a drive force for moving the transport element along a guide track of the transport system. The teeth have marginal teeth arranged at the two ends of the yoke. At least one of the marginal teeth is inclined with respect to the other teeth.

A motor of an embodiment includes a rotor and a stator. The stator includes a plurality of segments. The segment includes a plurality of pieces coupled via a coupling part. The plurality of pieces are disposed in an arc shape. The plurality of segments are disposed in an annular shape. The coupling part includes a first recess part, a pair of opposing surfaces having first ends continuous with both sides of the first recess part, and a pair of opposing parts provided at second ends of the pair of opposing surfaces. A mutual gap between the pair of opposing surfaces decreases from the first recess part to the pair of opposing parts.

Gas turbine engine fuel system

The present application discloses a fuel system for a gas turbine engine. The engine includes a main alternating current electrical generator driven by an engine shaft such that the electrical output frequency of the electrical generator varies in dependence on shaft rotational speed. The fuel system includes a variable flow fuel pump for providing a fuel flow to the engine, a frequency and/or voltage controller configured to provide electrical power having at least one of a predetermined output frequency and a predetermined voltage, and a variable speed electric motor configured to drive the fuel pump. The electric motor includes an induction motor having a stator and at least a first rotor, the stator having first and second sets of stator windings. Each set of stator windings is configured to impart a torque on the rotor in use.

A short-circuit ring for a rotor of an electrical asynchronous machine is circular and has along its circumference a multiplicity of recesses extending in the axial direction, into which rods of a rotor cage of the asynchronous machine can be placed. The short-circuit ring is assembled from a plurality of partial ring segments.

A WIND TURBINE

A wind turbine (1) comprising a turbine rotor (3) with one or more blades, a generator (4) and a drive train (5) interconnecting the turbine rotor (3) and the generator (4). The drive train (5) is provided with a main gear (6) directly driven by the turbine rotor (3). A plurality of pinions engages the main gear (6). Each of the pinions drives a hydraulic pump (7). A hydro motor (8) is connected to the respective pumps (7) via respective high pressure (9) and low pressure lines. The hydro motor (8) engages an input shaft of the generator (4). A planetary gear transmission (10) is arranged between each pinion and the respective hydraulic pump (7).
