Disclosed herein is a multiple light emitter device which inactivates microorganisms. The device includes at least two light emitters and at least one light-converting material arranged to convert at least a portion of light from the light emitters. Any unconverted light emitted from the light emitters and converted light emitted from the at least one light-converting material mixes to form a combined light, the combined light being white. In one aspect, the light emitters include at least one blue light emitter and at least one violet light emitter. In another aspect, the light emitters include one blue light emitter and one emitter within the range of approximately yellow to infrared light.

Dehydration and drying are some of the oldest methods of preserving food and other biological materials such as proteins and both live and dead live microorganisms or their metabolites. The invention disclosed herein seeks a method of further improving the process of preserving biological material by combining the freezing or freeze-drying process with a partial infrared dehydration step. By using infrared radiation energy to perform simultaneous blanching and dehydration, the drying speed is greatly increased and better cellular and molecular integrity is maintained. The invention herein is also particularly useful in connection with cannabis and hemp.

The field of this invention is technology that supports and enhances natural face-to-face communication. Throughout the recent Pandemic, people have been adversely affected by the loss of real face-to-face human contact. The invention provides one or more safe ‘meeting spaces’ through which persons can talk to each other normally, without the risk of airborne pathogens passing between them.
