Illuminator with Ultraviolet and Blue-Ultraviolet Light Source
An illuminator comprising more than one set of ultraviolet radiation sources. A first set of ultraviolet radiation sources operate in a wavelength range of approximately 270 nanometers to approximately 290 nanometers. A second set of ultraviolet radiation sources operate in a wavelength range of approximately 380 nanometers to approximately 420 nanometers. The illuminator can also include a set of sensors for acquiring data regarding at least one object to be irradiated by the first and the second set of ultraviolet radiation sources. A control system configured to control and adjust a set of radiation settings for the first and the second set of ultraviolet radiation sources based on the data acquired by the set of sensors.
PHOTOREACTOR AND FORMULATIONS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A non-biological, visible light photoreactor is provided, the photoreactor comprising: a fiberglass sheet, which includes fibers and interstitial spaces between the fibers; and a low iron oxide content, iron-doped titanium dioxide film on the fibers, the film containing about 0.5 atomic percent iron and an iron oxide content of less than about 0.075 atomic percent iron. The photoreactor may be configured as a tube with a light emitting diode housed therein, a cap at one end of the tube that has inlets to accept pressurized air and a plate at the other end of the tube, such that the air is forced through the photoreactor.
A TRANSPARENT PHOTOCATALYTIC COATING FOR IN-SITU GENERATION OF FREE RADICALS COMBATING MICROBES, ODORS OR ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN VISIBLE LIGHT
A transparent photocatalytic coating for in-situ generation of free radicals combating microbes, odors and organic compounds in visible light is disclosed, featuring a catalytic material comprising a dopant and having particle size distribution suitable for exciton-confinment to accumulatively shift the photocatalytic process into visible light range. Furthermore, the present invention features a method of producing the photocatalytic material described herein. Furthermore, the present invention discloses a method of application of the photocatalytic coating to a surface of a locus. Finally, the present invention features using the photocatalytic coating for removing contaminants and microorganisms at the locus.
INTEGRATED UV DISINFECTION
Methods and systems for disinfecting a surface, can include a light source, and a transparent window located above the light source. The light source can be integrated into an object, and an outer surface of the object can be located above the transparent window. Light from the light source can irradiate the outer surface through the transparent window and from within the object to disinfect the outer surface of the object. The light can comprise violet and ultraviolet (UV) light. A photocatalytic layer comprising a photocatalytic material may also be located above the transparent window and below the outer surface.
ANTIVIRAL METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS
A method of inactivating an enveloped ssRNA virus, such as SARS-CoV-2. The method involves contacting the enveloped ssRNA virus with an antiviral polyelectrolyte compound and/or a conjugated aromatic compound effective to inactivate the virus. The disclosure also provides a method of reducing the period of viability of enveloped ssRNA virus, such as SARS-CoV-2, on personal protective equipment, in filtered air, and on surfaces that have come into contact with the virus.
Non-Aqueous PS/ICP Systems And Application To Surfaces
A shipping container having photodynamic pathogen reduction properties. The shipping container include photosensitizers that when exposed to light actively and continuously disinfect their surfaces. Methods of adding or incorporating into or on to photosensitizers to a shipping container.
METHOD FOR REMOVING HAZE AND INHIBITING BACTERIA
The invention provides a method for removing haze and inhibiting bacteria. First preparing a dehaze and bacteriostatic film comprising a substrate material layer and a composite surface plasmon layer. The composite surface plasmon layer includes a particle stacked film layer and a particle suspension layer which jointly generate a composite surface plasmon wave. Then, exciting the composite surface plasmon wave by visible light to resonate different types of surface plasmon waves generated by the composite surface plasmon wave, and adding up energy of the surface plasmon waves to ionize water and oxygen. Since energy of the generated electromagnetic field can ionize substances at a certain distance, such as dissociated water is rich in hydroxide ions that performs dehaze and bacteriostatic effect. The dehaze and bacteriostatic effect can be enhanced through increasing in thickness (number of layers) of the particle stacked film layer and the particle suspension layer.
