Provided is an apparatus for treating a surface of a medical metal. The apparatus includes a lamp unit in which a through-hole is formed and which irradiates the through-hole with ultraviolet rays, a lifting unit on which a container accommodating a medical metal is detachably disposed and which is disposed to be movable in the through-hole, and a case unit which accommodates the lamp unit and the lifting unit and includes an outer case in which an outer hole corresponding to the through-hole is formed and an inner case which is disposed inside the outer case and in which the lamp unit or the lifting unit is disposed.

System And Method For Treating Microorganisms

A system for the treatment of microorganisms includes: a textile web having optical fibers in warp and/or weft woven with binding threads in warp and/or weft, each of the optical fibers having invasive alterations along the fiber and allowing the emission of light propagating in the fiber at these alterations; a light source arranged opposite one or both free ends of the optical fibers. The textile web includes metallic warp and/or weft threads woven with the binding threads, the metallic threads being based on a metal having a negative effect on the growth of microorganisms. The light source generates a light beam having at least one wavelength in the visible or ultraviolet spectrum.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFELY IRRADICATING PATHOGENS

A system for eradicating pathogens is disclosed. A lamp is provided that emits a far-ultraviolet C (far-UVC) light generates an irradiation zone. A biometric sensor determines whether an individual is present in the irradiation zone. The biometric sensor signals a processor to determine whether the individual has been exposed to a threshold limit of far-UVC light. The processor determines whether the time an individual has been in the irradiation zone exceeds a threshold limit. If the individual has been in the irradiation zone a period of time exceeds the threshold, the lamp is deactivated. A pathogen detection sensor provides user feedback of the existence pathogens and signals the processor to terminate irradiation or provide user feedback to terminate irradiation. The system and method are included in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to eradicate pathogens on surfaces and aerosol. Threshold limits allow eradication while the vehicle is occupied.
