The UV light may be directed at the door to the exclusion of other portions of the surrounding environment. The UV light is mounted on the wall or floor proximate the door. Additionally, there may be a nozzle adjacent the door and configured to release a disinfecting fluid directed at the door when activated.

MATTRESS CLEANING SYSTEM
20210316339 · 2021-10-14 ·

A mattress cleaning system receives a mattress in a tank of wash liquid so that the mattress is fully submerged. A pressure applicator, for example a mechanical structure or a jetted flow of wash fluid, applies a cyclical compressive force to the sleeping surface of the mattress while the mattress is fully submerged so as to cause flushing of the wash liquid outwardly of the mattress through at least the sleeping surface of the mattress. When using a barrier to isolate one of the surfaces of the mattress on a first side of the barrier from remaining surfaces of the mattress on a second side of the barrier, use of a blower to create an air pressure differential between opposing sides of the barrier causes migration of the wash liquid through the mattress from the isolated surface of the mattress to the remaining surfaces for drying the mattress.

Disinfection of water mains using ultraviolet light and oxidizing agents

Methods and systems are provided for disinfecting water mains using ultraviolet (UV) light and advanced oxidation processes. One or more UV light sources are provided and secured to a movable device that moves axially in a pipe. The frequency and intensity of the UV light is determined based on characteristics of the pipe, such as its material and size. The rate at which the movable device moves through the pipe is also determined so that the interior surface of the pipe is properly disinfected. The movable device is remotely caused to move through the pipe. An oxidant supply component having a dispensing portion dispenses an oxidizing agent into the pipe. A portion of the emitted UV light may convert the dispensed oxidizing agent into additional oxidizing agents that further disinfect the pipe.

ICE MACHINE CLEANING APPARATUS

Disclosed is a system and method for cleaning an ice machine, a cleaning apparatus comprising an ozone generator, at least one fluid line connecting an output from the ozone generator to at least one of a water inlet, a water recirculatory line, and a water reservoir, wherein the cleaning apparatus is configured for use with an ice machine. In some embodiments, one or more sensors are provided and may be configured to detect a call for new ice formation. The one or more sensors may comprise (i) a flow valve sensor, (ii) a sensor configured to detect if water is flowing through a water inlet, (iii) a sensor configured to detect a beginning of new ice formation, and/or (iv) a sensor configured to detect an end of new ice formation.

System for creating an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) in water with multi-path manifold for mixing and distribution
11078079 · 2021-08-03 ·

A system for creating an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) in water employs a manifold. The manifold includes an enclosure containing a plurality of fluid paths and having one or more ozone intake ports. The ozone intake ports are fluidically coupled to one or more ozone output ports of an ozone supply unit housed in a separate enclosure. A plurality of flow switches are disposed within the enclosure and configured to transmit control signals to one or more controllers of the ozone supply unit in response to sensing a flow of water through the fluid paths in order to cause the ozone supply unit to generate ozone. A plurality of fluid mixers are also disposed within the enclosure. The fluid mixers are fluidically coupled to the ozone intake ports and configured to introduce the ozone generated by the ozone supply unit into the water flowing through the fluid paths.

A system for creating an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) in water employs a plurality of ozone supply units housed in separate enclosures. The ozone supply units feed into a manifold that contains a plurality of fluid paths and has one or more ozone intake ports. The ozone intake ports are fluidically coupled to one or more ozone output ports of each ozone supply unit. The manifold includes a plurality of flow switches configured to transmit control signals to one or more controllers of each ozone supply unit in response to sensing a flow of water through the fluid paths in order to cause the ozone supply units to generate ozone. The manifold also includes a plurality of fluid mixers that are fluidically coupled to the ozone intake ports and configured to introduce the ozone generated by the ozone supply units into the water flowing through the fluid paths.

System for creating an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) in water with pipe assembly for in-line mixing
11097946 · 2021-08-24 ·

A system for creating an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) in water employs a pipe assembly for in-line mixing. The pipe assembly includes a first flow path for water to flow through. The first flow path includes one or more ozone intake ports that are fluidically coupled to one or more ozone output ports of an ozone supply unit. The pipe assembly further includes a second flow path fluidically coupled in parallel with the first flow path. The second flow path includes a control valve that selectively permits a portion of the water to flow through the second flow path to produce a negative pressure in the first flow path so that ozone is drawn into the first flow path through the one or more ozone intake ports and mixed into the water flowing through the first flow path.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECYCLING OF RESPIRATORY MASKS AND OTHER PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

A method and device for treating contaminated or potentially contaminated items is provided. The method will include the steps of placing the items in a reactor. The reactor is then sealed and ozone or ozonated gas is sent into the reactor. The items are held in the reactor long enough to complete the decontamination process. The reactor is then opened. Next there is a period of passive reaction so that the ozone can be degraded from the pores and surfaces of the items. The device provided herein includes a reactor, an ozone generator, a rack for holding said items; and a monitor for determining the level of ozone in the reactor.
