SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISINFECTING FOOD PACKAGING
Disclosed is a method for disinfecting packaging. In certain aspects, the method comprises placing the packaging in a contacting chamber and directly contacting the packaging with gaseous ozone for a time interval, wherein the time interval is sufficient to substantially reduce pathogens on the packaging. In certain embodiments, the time interval is from about 3 seconds to about 30 seconds. In certain aspects, the gaseous ozone is comprised of from about 6% to about 12% ozone and the time interval is sufficient to substantially reduce pathogens on the packaging.
Disinfecting composition comprising silver ions and a quaternary salt
The present invention relates to a disinfectant composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and silver ions in association with at least one quaternary ammonium salt with biocidal action and compatible with silver ions. The composition can be used for disinfecting a room and any objects contained therein, in particular healthcare environments, such as, for example, laboratories, doctors' surgeries, hospital rooms, ambulance compartments and the like, where it is important to have a biocidal activity at low dosages proportional to the average contamination present.
PEROXYCARBOXYLIC ACID BASED SANITIZING RINSE ADDITIVES FOR USE IN WARE WASHING
A concentrated liquid sanitizing and rinse composition containing peroxycarboxylic acid(s) and compatible rinse aid surfactants is disclosed. The sanitizing and rinsing compositions are formulated in a single liquid concentrate, replacing a traditional dual product of a sanitizer and rinse aid. The sanitizing and rinsing chemistries are particularly effective at neutral pHs against gram negative organisms at elevated temperatures. Methods of using the concentrated liquid sanitizing and rinse composition are also disclosed.
Methods and Systems for Advanced Disinfection and Decontamination
Embodiments described herein relate to methods and systems for the simultaneous decontamination and disinfection of surface and airborne contaminants. In particular, catalytically boosting the performance of a class of oxidizing biocides for improved antimicrobial performance and shorter contact times is disclosed.
Apparatus and method to repeatedly fill and purge channels of endoscope
A medical device reprocessor is operable to perform a method of cleaning an internal channel of a medical device. The method entails activating a pump assembly to deliver a detergent to the internal channel for a first predetermined duration, activating the pump assembly to deliver water to the internal channel to rinse out the detergent for a second predetermined duration, and activating the pump assembly to deliver pressurized air to the internal channel to purge out the water or detergent contained within the internal channel for a third predetermined duration. Subsequently, the method involves activating the pump assembly to deliver a predetermined volume of disinfectant to the internal channel, and activating the pump assembly to deliver pressurized air to purge out the disinfectant into a chamber. The method repeats filling the internal channel with detergent, water and disinfectant and the subsequent purging of the internal channel with pressurized air.
DISINFECTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system can include a delivery manifold with orifice openings arranged asymmetrically. The system can include a pump configured to pressurize a (e.g., disinfecting) fluid to an ultra-high pressure (e.g., 9,000 to 50,000 PSI, 9,000 to 65,000 PSI, any pressure over 9,000 PSI, or any suitable pressure). The pressurized fluid can be expelled through a delivery manifold with asymmetrically arranged orifice openings. In some embodiments, this arrangement can release a dry disinfecting vapor into the air that can disinfect an environment, surface, or object without wetting the item to be disinfected.
STERILIZING METHOD AND STERILIZER
A sterilizing method for sterilizing a sterilization object housed in a chamber (11) includes a first vapor injection step (S104) of injecting vapor produced from a first aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide to the inside of the chamber (11), an ozone injection step (S107) of injecting ozone gas to the inside of the chamber (11) after the first vapor injection step (S104), and a second vapor injection step (S109) of injecting vapor produced from pure water or vapor produced from a second aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide to the inside of the chamber (11) after the ozone injection step (S107).
Activated disinfectant hydrogen peroxide compositions
Activated hydrogen peroxide disinfecting compositions are provided especially for low-foaming applications. A concentrate for dilution by an end-user is provided, which includes a hydrogen peroxide source, a non-surfactant organic sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a non-ionic surfactant, and an optional organic acid. Also provided is a ready-to-use hydrogen peroxide, disinfectant solution including a biocidal amount of hydrogen peroxide, a non-surfactant organic sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a non-ionic surfactant, water as solvent and an optional organic acid. An end-user can disinfect a surface of microorganisms by contacting the surface with the disinfecting composition for an amount of time effective to kill a majority of the microbes located on the surface.
Beverage filling method and apparatus
Only a bottle properly preliminarily heated is sterilized by hydrogen peroxide. Temperature inspection to the bottle is performed while travelling the bottle. During the inspection, a bottle of which temperature does not reach a predetermined temperature is removed and a bottle of which temperature reaches the predetermined temperature is continuously travelled, hydrogen peroxide condensed mist α is blown toward a mouth portion 1a of the bottle by a spray tube 59 disposed at a predetermined position, and hot air is blown into the bottle from the nozzle while the nozzle 64 following the mouth portion of the bottle. According to such operation, only the bottle properly heated can be sterilized by the hydrogen peroxide, Thereafter, beverage fills the bottle, which is then sealed.
DECONTAMINATION DEVICE AND METHOD USING ULTRASONIC CAVITATION
A method and apparatus for decontaminating substantially enclosed environments by using ultrasonic cavitation of a cleaning fluid to produce a low pressure, low air flow mist that can be activated by a nonthermal plasma actuator to create a cloud of activated hydroxyl species with the capacity to decontaminate articles, open surfaces or substantially enclosed spaces of pathogens, including bacteria, and other pathogenic microorganisms. An automated system and related non-transitory computer medium are also disclosed.
