INDUSTRIAL HIGH-THROUGHPUT BIO-SCANNING
The present invention provides a platform, system and devices for testing or screening individuals for symptoms of disease, exposure to chemicals or biohazards. The device may be configured similar to the appearance of familiar airport screening devices, but may be configured for use in a people moving device or a walkway. The present device assays volatile compounds, especially volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitting from a subject person, group or item. Different VOCs are produced dependent on metabolic changes in response to pathogenic, chemical, or biological stresses. Nanosensor elements within the device provide assessments of multiple VOCs to the platform with its integrated analysis capacities that rapidly compare instant data to a developed database. Each chamber may participate in an interconnected system sharing data for continuous improvement of assay procedures and comparison results.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR STERILIZING ORGANIC PRODUCTS
The invention relates to sterilizing one or more samples of an organic product placed in a chamber of a sterilization device. The method includes, introducing a specified quantity of a gaseous composition comprising a predefined proportion of ozone and carbon monoxide through at least one inlet of the chamber. The method includes, subjecting each sample with ultraviolet light and the gaseous composition for predefined time period in a controlled atmosphere maintained at 90-100% humidity level and a temperature of −10 to 5 degree Celsius within the chamber. The method includes releasing the gaseous composition through at least one outlet from the chamber upon completion of the predefined time period, while simultaneously introducing purified air into chamber through the at least one inlet, until presence of the gaseous composition in the atmosphere of the chamber reaches below a threshold value.
PROSTHETIC ACCESSORY STERILIZER
This invention relates to a prosthetic accessory sterilizer (1), and more particularly, but not exclusively, to a prosthetic liner or sleeve sterilizer. In accordance with this invention there is provided a prosthetic accessory sterilizer comprising an elongate support (3) for receiving a sleeve thereover, a number of ventilation openings (4) in the elongate support (3), air movement means to move air through the ventilation openings (4) and an airborne produced particle that kills bacteria, for example ozone, but not exclusively ozone.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
An electronic apparatus includes an electrode substrate that has a transparent first electrode and a transparent second electrode that are provided on one surface of a transparent insulating substrate, and an insulating film that electrically insulates the first electrode from the second electrode, the electrode substrate being configured so as to cover a surface of a display medium where an image is displayed; and a driver circuit that is connected to the electrode substrate and generates an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode by applying a voltage to the first electrode and the second electrode.
SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF ELIMINATING VIRUS WITHIN VEHICLE
A system for and a method of eliminating a virus within a vehicle. The system includes a sterilizer positioned within a vehicle and configured to eliminate a virus within the vehicle while operating, a detection sensor that detects whether or not an occupant is present within the vehicle, and a sterilization controller that controls operation of the sterilizer with a preset operation profile on the basis of a result of the detection sensor detecting whether or not the occupant is present within the vehicle.
Endoscopes With Improved Compatibility To Oxidative Processings And Methods For Manufacturing And Repairing The Same
An endoscope with particular adhesive elements and/or particular internal dry lubricants have improved compatibility to various oxidative processes such as the ones used for terminal sterilization. The particular adhesive elements and particular internal dry lubricants are disclosed herein. A method of manufacturing an endoscope and a method of repairing an old endoscope are also disclosed herein.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING THE ASEPTIC FILLING AND SEALING OF PHARMACEUTICAL CONTAINERS WITH A PHARMACEUTICAL FLUID USING ROTARY STAGE
The system of the invention involves a gloveless aseptic processing system. The automated system is for filling nested pharmaceutical containers with a pharmaceutical fluid substance. A closed sterilizable gloveless isolator chamber is capable of maintaining an aseptic condition, having a sterilization system. The container filling system has a dispensing head for filling the containers, and a container closing system disposed within the gloveless isolator chamber with rams for pushing closures into openings of the nested containers. The container manipulation mechanism is disposed within the gloveless isolator chamber and is capable of positioning the nested pharmaceutical containers within the gloveless isolator chamber including operably disposing the nested pharmaceutical containers with the container filling system and the container closing system. Container tubs sealed by removable covers and contain a container nest bearing a plurality of pre-sterilized pharmaceutical containers.
Processing method
The present invention has as its object the provision of a processing method that can perform a sterilization process and a deodorization process utilizing ozone with high efficiency, without humidification of a target object. A processing method of the present invention includes obtaining an ozone-containing gas by irradiating an ozone material gas with ozone generation light that does not include light in an ozone decomposition wavelength range and does include light having a wavelength of not more than 200 nm; and exposing a target object to the obtained ozone-containing gas in a low humidity condition having a relative humidity of not more than 55% to process the target object.
Headgear cleaner and headgear stand
Provided are a headgear stand and a headgear cleaner that is small-sized and has low power consumption, and that is capable of sterilizing and deodorizing headgear made of any material. A headgear cleaner 1-1 is provided with an ozone generator 2 and a voltage supply part 5. The ozone generator 2 is constituted from an ozone generator body 3-1 and a connecting part 4. The ozone generator body 3-1 forms a shape in which twelve leaf parts extend radially. The voltage supply part 5 supplies a voltage necessary for generating ozone to the ozone generator 2.
Compact portable plasma reactor
Embodiments of the subject invention relate to a small modular self-contained surface plasma device for decontamination of air and surfaces within enclosed volumes. Embodiments of the subject invention relate to a method and apparatus using the technical process of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) surface plasma generation from ambient atmosphere for decontamination of air and surfaces within enclosed volumes. The primary application mode is for preservation of perishable commodities within industrial shipping containers through reduction of surface spoilage organisms and destruction of evolved gaseous ethylene that causes premature ripening. Additional implementations include deployment for oxidation of surfaces and/or container atmospheres in applications to diminish or eradicate pesticides, toxins, chemical residues, and other natural or introduced contaminants. Other embodiments envisioned include incorporation of device capabilities and or ancillary modules for feedback input (e.g. ozone sensor(s) to maintain steady state levels, self-tuning circuitry to adjust operating frequency), communication (e.g. among modules, RFID data loggers, Wi-Fi output), and programing (e.g. user input of container volume, transit time, ozone level, etc.).
