A sterilizing method for sterilizing a sterilization object housed in a chamber (11) includes a first vapor injection step (S104) of injecting vapor produced from a first aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide to the inside of the chamber (11), an ozone injection step (S107) of injecting ozone gas to the inside of the chamber (11) after the first vapor injection step (S104), and a second vapor injection step (S109) of injecting vapor produced from pure water or vapor produced from a second aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide to the inside of the chamber (11) after the ozone injection step (S107).

The invention relates to a method for viral disinfection of a defined space, having: diffusing, into the ambient air in the defined space, molecular ozone with an exposure dose CT that corresponds to the product of C × T, where C represents the concentration of molecular ozone and T represents the duration of treatment, said exposure dose CT being greater than 2 mg.min/m.sup.3, preferably substantially constant and equal to 5 mg.min/m.sup.3; and regulating the humidity level of the ozonized ambient air in the defined space.

The housing has a first portion defining a first chamber of the internal cavity, a second portion defining a second chamber of the internal cavity, and an intermediate portion extending between the first portion and the second portion, and defining an intermediate chamber. The first chamber is connected to an inlet of the housing. The first portion having a first width. The second chamber is connected to an outlet of the housing. The second portion has a second width greater than the first width. The first portion, the intermediate portion, and the second portion are linearly aligned along a longitudinal axis of the housing. The air driver is positioned within the first chamber. The ozone generator is positioned within the intermediate chamber. The catalyst is positioned within the second chamber.
