ANTIMICROBIAL COMMON TOUCH SURFACES
An antimicrobial device can include a common touch surface of a non-metallic material, and an antimicrobial metal layer applied to the common touch surface at an average thickness ranging from a single metal atom in thickness to 1 mm.
ANTIMICROBIAL SHOE INSOLE AND USE THEREOF
The present invention is directed to an antimicrobial shoe insole comprising an antimicrobial composition. The antimicrobial shoe insole has the density from 0.12 to 0.30 g/cm.sup.3, preferably 0.18 to 0.22 g/cm.sup.3, the hardness of the shore C is 28 to 45, the ball rebound rate is ≥65%, and anti-fatigue test (20% compression rate) is over 10,000 times. The antimicrobial shoe insole is formulated to have a sterilization rate over 99.99%, durable, and the mildew resistance index can be zero with no detectable mildew growth.
PROTECTIVE ANTIMICROBIAL SYSTEM
The system and method for providing antimicrobial and/or antiviral characteristics to substrates via an additive process for providing safe handling and reduction of cross contaminations from person to person from handling, shipping, storage and use of papers, boxes, liners, hospital barriers, respirator filters and liners, hospital curtains, masks, draperies, bed liners, and the like.
Water-based curable composition for production of coatings comprising phosphors
A water-based curable composition, for production of coatings having an antimicrobial property, contains at least one film-forming polymer, optionally at least one additive and/or at least one curing agent, and at least one up-conversion phosphor of the general formula (I): A.sub.1-x-y-zB*.sub.yB.sub.2SiO.sub.4:Ln.sup.1.sub.x,Ln.sup.2.sub.z. In the general formula (I), x=0.0001-0.0500; z=0.0000 or z=0.0001 to 0.3000 with the proviso that: y=x+z; A is selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; B is selected from Li, Na, K. Rb and Cs; B* is selected from Li, Na and K; and preferably B and B* are not the same. Additionally, Ln.sup.1 is selected from praseodymium (Pr), erbium (Er), and neodymium (Nd); and Ln.sup.2 is gadolinium (Gd). The phosphor, as a result of an aftertreatment, includes at least one material which has a band gap of greater than 6.0 electronvolts (eV) and is hydrolysis-stable.

MASK
A mask is provided. The mask according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first fabric forming an externally exposed surface; a second fabric disposed on one surface of the first fabric to be in close contact with a part of the wearer's face and including a first fiber including a silver wire; and ear bands provided on the opposite ends of the first fabric. Accordingly, the mask including the silver wire can fundamentally prevent the, generation of bacteria by a user's saliva and re-inhalation of proliferated bacteria and has excellent antibacterial performance. In addition, the mask provided with a ply yarn including a silver wire and a general-purpose fiber has excellent washing durability and elasticity and can have the effect of maintaining antibacterial performance and washing durability even when the silver wire included in the mask is broken.
